Better Strings Left To Fray And no I'm not talking about Seether. The first issue I keep running into is the zippers getting caught all the time when zipping up the pockets and especially the top vents. It was more of a minor annoyance than anything so I wasn't too concerned. My biggest problem I am having is the stitching is already coming out, and I have only worn this jacket a half a dozen times. Everytime I take the jacket off at work I notice another long string hanging off either a sleeve or other part of the jacket. Other than that it is a very comfortable jacket, it fit quite well and the thermal liner works wonders in sub 40*. May 9, 2013
Good first jacket This is a decent jacket for first time riders. Lots of protection, good coverage. Air flow can get limited. Sizes tend to the large side. May 7, 2013

Great Jacket to wear. Extremely comfortable and air flow is great. I love the inner liner in this jacket and protection works great. I'd recommend this product for bang for the buck! Awesome jacket for under $200. Fit me perfectly, so snug but still loose enough for air flow. April 1, 2013
great jacket Love this jacket. Keeps me warm on those cold days and still has enough versatility to be comfortable on the warm days. Styling is awesome. Matches my bike perfectly. At 6' 5" I am a tall guy but this jacket fits great. Sleeves were not too short at all. Would recommend this to anyone. February 18, 2013

Is it possible to remove the elbow/shoulder armour if I wanted to make a little bit more room/upgrade to different armour?

The Fieldsheer Skull Jacket does have removable elbow and shoulder armor.

Answer: 
Yes, you can remove both the shoulder and elbow CE-rated armor pieces that come with the jacket. They sit in pockets inside the jacket that close with velcro. The leather on the outside is permanently attached to the jacket though (obviously).
