Fieldsheer Iceberg Vest
I didn't really like this vest. After soaking it, it felt slimy, and if I squeezed excess water out of it, a white slick goo would come out. It left me feeling sticky - gross - right? I'm thinking it might be a fungicide so you can put it in a bag before the ride to keep it from mildewing before being put on. Still, it made me not want to put the thing on.
Also the vest didn't cool as well as I hoped. We were in Wyoming, low humidity, and right around 100 deg. The vest seemed to help some, but it evaporated water very slowly. I get better results from soaking my t-shirt during gas stops.

A summer riding must-have
It holds water for several hours, cools very well, and is well made. It sure helps in the dry, hot southwest where I ride. Not so sure it would be as useful in humid climates. Soak it for 20 minutes and it's good to go. When you stop for fuel, wet it down again in the restroom sink or hose bibb for a quick top up. Doesn't soak your base layer too much if you dry the outside off after soaking.

Really works, cool technology. Took in on a 5000 trip, stopped every two hours to refresh with water. Worked almost the whole trip until the end, maybe 30 times, now doesn't work as new.

Great for hot weather.
I used this vest a lot this summer. Great product for me. I don't like riding in the heat. It cooled me down with temps in the 90's to where it was bearable for me, which is saying something. Lasted for hours while wet.

Have yet to use the product; still in the snow zone.
I want to comment about the sizing, however. It is very true to size. I bought an XL and there is plenty of wiggle room in it.
Also, good basic bang for the buck.

Not sure yet
It did cool me down seem to work better with out the mesh jacket over it. When it is hydrated it seem heavy, the dampness feeling was not bad and I wasn't wet like I thought I was going to be when I took it off. The cooling effect didn't last as long as I expected from other reviews.

This vest was a life saver on a recent trip. Temp was 100F in western Utah to 116F in Las Vegas, but with this vest inside a vented jacket I stayed relatively comfortable for 4+ hours. You can buy more expensive cooling products, but this worked well for me for a reasonable price. I kept it wet in a 2 gal. sealable bag when not in use .
