Dowco Guardian WeatherAll Motorcycle Cover
Glorified Dust Cover
I purchased the WeatherAll towards the latter end of 2015 during the Westcoast's "Winter"- our winters are usually consists of "cold" (I get laughs about this from my East Coast friends) and foggy mornings with an occasional shower. I park my motorcycle in a lot that is exposed to the elements so it was imperative that I properly care for my bike's exposure as I don't have plastic fairings that encase my engine. Initially, I had a Bilt Dust cover and well- it did exactly that: it was a dust cover; no complaints there but having seen it through a rough shower one night and taking off the cover the next morning the entire bike was wet- still, no complaints, I knew what I was in for with that type of cover. So, I thought I'd upgrade and with the words 'WeatherAll' in its name I thought I couldn't go wrong. Come a month into the new years and showers every other two weeks: this is a piece of junk (see pictures). Granted, it's a well put together piece of junk but it fails to live up to it's namesake and description.
The images are of the underside of the WeatherAll taken in San Diego, CA at 7:00 AM, 03/10/16; it did not rain. It was about 58 degrees with condensation on the cover. The "triangle" breather part is simply a reference- it is towards the top-most left side of the bike when installed as instructed (starting with the tag at the front wheel,...); the hard plastic flap covers three ventilation holes (rain has never gotten through there, I will note). The ENTIRE top of the cover where condensation has settled is soaked through and through. It will stick to my gas tank once it's wet enough and will leave water all over my rear seat and cowling. Any part that condensation can settle on: it is a guarantee that it is wet. To be sure I was not installing it incorrectly, I perused the information it came with and doubled-up on it through their website for an alternative/ more-correct way to no avail. I would have expected this in a area with more inclement weather but in San Diego, CA the weather's not perfect but it's not freezing or raining cats and dogs everyday- this is quite a disappointment! This is not to even mention how it performs in the rain,... you can get the idea of that just based on how it holds up to morning condensation.
I would not recommend this product. I DID NOT purchase this from Revzilla, unfortunately, but I wouldn't want a replacement for it in any case. I purchased this new (broke the sticky-seals myself) from a brick-and-mortar during the onset of our winter. While others have experienced nothing but good things I have not.
I am disappointed with it every morning I grudgingly pull it off and set it aside to dry and every time I put it on after a ride (I initially thought it was my engine causing the condensation underneath as it was still warm while putting on the cover,...it wasn't)- I'm at a point where I think it's better just to leave it off. Again, it is a glorified dust cover- albeit an expensive one.

Does nothing less than what is promised
This cover has held up to everything from acorns hitting to a complete down pour. Have had this cover for a month and have seen cheaper covers already tear in that same time frame. If you care at all about your motorcycle you will get this cover, and it is so easy to put on even right after a two hour ride and your pipes are hot this cover still hangs on tight to your precious cargo. Well worth the money to keep my baby safe from all of the elements.

Bang for the buck honestly!!!!!!
For the price you can't beat it really!!! Shipped really fast, the only issue and the only issues is that during heavy rain it tends to let some water thru! It's not a lot but you can see where it's been.

This is the second identical Dowco cover I've purchased. The first one had become too beat up after too many Interstate trips on the hitch carrier behind the truck over three years. :)
Yeah, I know, the directions EXPLICITLY state not to trailer the bike with the cover in place, but to me the cover was expendable, and it did precisely what I wanted it to do. I wrapped it up sixteen different ways with bungee cords, but it still flapped enough to tear it up after three years. Not real surprising with 10 hour days at 80mph!
Now I have an enclosed trailer, so the second one should last for years! (;>)

This low quality cover ripped on me after only a few months of owning it. This cover also gets snagged on every single thing that protrudes from the motorcycle, and not just the obvious stuff but absolutely everything, such as the license plate, reflectors, etc. I now have a hole right in the top that I will need to patch somehow. I would recommend avoiding this brand. I bought this at another site before I discovered revzilla, but that doesn't change my opinion of the product. For this kind of money, the product should be of much higher quality.

I've tried many different bike covers in my time and this one beats them all, hands down. Sturdy materials and solid construction, easy to put on (I bought a size med. for my 2011 Ducati Monster 796 and it fits perfectly), and it will last a long time. Most covers I've tried disintegrate in a matter of weeks, this one will last years. I put it on hot all the time, too, and it's never melted, and after two years still looks like new except for a little dirt. There's a nice breather vent on top to prevent molding, and a soft patch of chamois where the cover comes in contact with your windshield to prevent scratching. The only downside is that it isn't really waterproof, at all in fact. If you leave it out in the rain your bike will get wet. Not sure how they can claim that it's waterproof when it isn't even close to that, but oh well. I store my bike in a carport anyway so that wasn't important to me. Over all I think this is a great cover.
