Good all around jacket
Ive had this jacket for over a year, its already saved me from some road rash once. The only permenant mark I have is a small scar on my wrist and the jacket has a scuff on the shoulder (barely noticable unless youre looking for it). Waterproof, and warm, no Airflow at all. not great for florida summers but if you keep it unzipped its bearable, and with a fleece sweatshirt underneath its perfect for winter (even snowboarding in PA). One problem i had with it is the sleeves are too short, I'm 6'4" 180, I'm usually a 40L for suits so i got a 44 in this jacket. Could have some kind of lining inside, feels like youre wearing a rough plastic jacket. Overall a good jacket

Kevlar hoodie?
Lets be honest. This is not first line crash protection for the highway or offroading. While their is kevlar on the shoulders and elbows, i am not sure that the frame would stand up to a high speed crash, and it lacks pockets for armor. That said, if you do a lot of low speed driving and want something a little sturdier and more waterproof than your jean jacket or regular hoodie to put on when you run around the corner to the store, this is idea. If you want one more layer of warmth to extend your riding season, and a hood that will fit under your helmet, this will also do the job.
I got this item because every now and then one of my friends finds themself stranded at college or the coffee shop and needs a short (few mile) ride home. I wanted some minimal level of protection to give them for non-highway rides that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg or take up too much space in my saddlebags, and this fit the bill. Had to add pockets to elbows and shoulders for armor myself, but that isn't rocket science if you have the right tools.,
It is warm, and seems to breathe well. It showed up right in time for me to add it as a layer during a sub zero cold snap in Colorado.
The fabric is much stiffer than a traditional hoodie, the sleeves are somewhat on the short side (so if you have long arms you may need a size up) and the hood is tight fitting enough to fit under a helmet in a pinch.
