Clymer Manual Kawasaki KLR650 1987-2007
Great manual for rebuilds
I used this to help rebuild my 1983 VF750F that's been in the family since new. The manual is extremely detailed, well written, and has great pictures. This gave me the confidence to pretty well tear the bike apart with very little prior experience working on it. Highly recommended, even if you just want to have a better understanding of what your shop is doing for you.

The manual appears to be quite thorough. The pictures are clear and detailed. Of course I would like the manual to be just for the Katana, but it is clearly labeled when sections are for different bikes. I glad to have a hard copy manual and I think it will serve me well as I need it this year.

Not a fan of Clymer Manuals
This was the first Clymer Manual I ever used and was rather disappointed. I have always used Haynes manuals and factory service manuals, so I was used to skipping the obvious and only explaining the nitty gritty, however the book seems far more suited to the person whose experience ends at oil changes and maybe brakes. Many answers I desired I had to look online for and most of the jobs I've done thus far needed to be supplemented as the specifics weren't specific enough. The details they give seem unnecessary to me and the ones they omit are essential, but it may just be a different book for a different owner.

Must have product...even with youtube
this book is a great manual to have in the shop and carry with you for whatever comes your way. Illustrations are clear, along with instructions. Sometimes this book is all you need.

A bit pricey, but a nice manual
In my opinion $30+ is a tad much for a manual but I would say it's worth it.

I reviewed several options when deciding which manual to buy so that I feel confident working on my bike. This option is much less expensive than the Harley version and more well written.
I have found this manual to also be better than other similar manuals written for Harleys. The amount of detail is good, with a nice troubleshooting section.
I am a novice when it comes to working on bikes - this manual is manageable and not overwhelming but detailed enough that a more skilled mechanic would get good use as well.
I highly recommend this manual.

This book is very helpful, I couldn't find it anywhere else and the price here was much better then I had thought it would be. Every instruction is easy to understand and always has what um looking for!
