Sound is good, but pain to use!
We bought these because they are supposed to be the best on the market. They are certainly better than most...but I'm still longing for Apple to make one!
The sound is good, and they have held up well for the 2 years we've had these. The battery seem to last about 6 hours or so but varies depending on if you have it on the "Always on mode" or the mode where you click in and out when the person talks.
The issue we have had with these is they are not very user friendly. We usually spend 15minutes fiddling around with them before we go on a ride because they seem to not be in the same mode as when we turned them off last.... also even when we do the same sequence of button pushing it doesn't always work. The buttons are awkward and mine has developed issues with the volume buttons. Sometimes when I turn the volume down I cut the communication?! Weird.
Overall, you'll be satisfied with these until something amazing is invented, but I'm not counting on it soon....

Save your money
My Cardo system has been a complete disappointment. I thought it would work with an open faced helmet (the package shows the rider with an open faced helmet), but no way. If I ride alone it works, radio anyway, for the most part though it cuts out some. But when my wife rides too, her radio will stay keyed. She has to drop completely out of range for it to reset. As soon as she gets back in range her mic will rekey and shut the radios down again. (Why are they not stereo anyway? You would think for 300 dollars it would be stereo.)
Cardo's remedy was to disable the VOX function and use PPT. Are you kidding me? I have to defeat one of the main features to try and get the radios to work? Their second suggestion was to place a piece of tape over the hole in the mic. They said some riders have found it to help. Again, for real. I have to place tape over the mic, just fix what you know is a problem. So, I am stuck with a 300 dollar radio that doesn't work.
Buy from a different company, there are better radios and service out there.

Cardo Q2 Multiset
Seems to fit in Helmut OK. Hard to move speakers around

Best for a quiet helmet and quiet bike...
Ambient noise inside the helmet (even a full face) as well as exhaust noise (Harley) will cause the noise reduction to impair the transmission quality.

Average product
The matt finishing on my intercom set started peeling just after a week of usage. not very rugged in my opinion.
took more than just a few hours of fiddling to get the clip clipping well to my shoei multitec and rjays flip up. the top of the clip scratched my helmet resulting in me needing to add additional layers of rubber to prevent more scratches.
had to add sponge into the ear holes beneath the speakers to get them to fit right and that took many hours of fiddling to get them into a comfortable snug position.
the addition of this intercom unit creates an air pocket which drastically increases wind noise on the left side of the helmet.
The sound quality is true as what other reviewers have said.
overall, average product but EXCELLENT service from revzilla. Thanks guys!

Great product but could be even better
Bought the Scala Rider MulitSet last year for my wife and I, who ride separate motorcycles. Have truly enjoyed the security of knowing what's happening on the road with each other in real time, in all kinds of traffic and weather situations, and the clarity of sound is excellent. The only downside we're experiencing is happening a year later, as the headsets don't seem to be holding their charge half as long as they did the first summer they were in use. Last year we found we could ride all day on a full charge with no problem. Now they seem to barely make it for 2-3 hours without dying. We've had to resort to taking the charger with us and try and charge them if we stop to take a break, but even that hasn't worked very well. Love the product but am disappointed in the significantly lower charge capacity in year 2. What's up? Anything that can be done to fix this short of replacing them?

Great headset
Headset was easy to install. Intercom is great as well. Mp3 sound was a little low but I was told I might need a sound booster by customer service. FM service was pretty good. Overall a great and fun product. Thanks Revzilla.
