Out of the box the helmet was too tight. With these it fits perfect. Very easy to install.

I bought this because the stock pads were too thick. They squeezed my cheeks together to the point of being uncomfortable so I went from 25mm to 15mm cheek pads and now it's perfect! It's like the helmet was made for me. The difference was night and day. The cheek pads was worth the asking price but that doesn't change the fact that it's still priced a bit high.

Apparently I have larger cheeks than most people because I always need to swap out the cheek pads. I traded my 20mm stock XD3 pads out for these 12's and am very happy with the fit and the break in on them.
They break in about 2mm on the 12's vs about 4mm on the 20's

The standard ARAI XD-3 cheeck pads (25mm), squeezed my head and also was difficult to put the helmet on. Since I changed for the 12mm feels very good. Now helmet feels like custom made. For the price I paid for the helmet ($630), it should have also bring 2 extra pair of cheeck pads... (for this reason I rated bang for the buck "average". Otherwise i would rated excellent

I would give it five stars except for the price. My helmet came with 20mm and squeezed my face, these are 15mm and seem to be just right.

Stock 25mm cheek pads made the helmet too small. I had to drop extra coin and order 12mm check pads in order to wear the helmet. Arai should have included a small, medium and large pads in the original purchase price, (given the price they charge)
Cons pricey accessory
