Arai is discontinuing this line of helmet "Classic/C - that is unfortunate as this is one of the best fitting and most comfortable helmets out there. I have had Arai Classic helmets for years, I ride a Honda Goldwing, headsets fit in the helmets very well and both the music & voice sound great. Highly recommend this line of Arai helmets!

A very comfortable light helmet, excellent unrestricted vision and easy to operate visor, Very cool in warmer climate with an excellent ventilation system, However in a cooler climate this helmet is very cold even with the vents shut, air circulates in the shell, it is also very very noisy, the ear area is very spacious which is good in as much as there is no pressure on your ears however it has no padding or sound deadening in the ear recess at all - making it very noisy - ear plugs are an absolute must with this helmet. The Helmet seems to be well sorted aerodynamically and does not lift,or twist with wind from the front or side and the smaller size shell means the helmet feels right on the head - its not a padded out one size shell fits all design the shell is sized to fit the relevant head size. overall very good shame its so noisy and more draughty than most other open face helmets I have tried.

Arai makes a great helmet, and this one is no exception. It was a clearance item, and so the price was excellent. But for the clearance status, though, I would have returned it. I wear a Small in an Arai full face, but in this open face I think I would have preferred an extra small. The only other downside of this helmet is that the overall shell seems to come down low on my neck -- perhaps the shell is just too large, even though inside the liner, etc is downsized for the smaller heads. I have a somewhat long neck, which helps. But another family member with a short neck and about the same size head is not comfortable in it because it feels to her as though the bottom of the helmet is more or less hitting her shoulders when she is bent over her bike. The best advice is to try before you buy -- we didn't, because the clearance pricing was so attractive. Again, the sizing may be off for me, but the helmet is still a top quality one.
