for those of us that nose is to close for the regular piece this is nice alternative to hacking it up with sissors so it doesn't hit.

My checkpads were worn out after 5 years of ridding
The original checkpad material was starting to wear and washing the material was beyond the help that I needed.
The new checkpad material now has elastic to help hold the fabric better over the foam forms. They just popped right in and after washing the headliner I had a new helmet :)

The Solution to All Problems.
Hey, wait, they're just cheek pads, and for a specific helmet no less. So maybe not all things to all people.
BUT...they make a world of difference and they're CHEAP. When you get that helmet that fits your noggin just right, THEN go hunting the cheek pads at hold you like Aunt Matilda before planting that god awflul Easter smooch. Only when top AND bottom fit, THEN you're protected.
And when you find that fit, stock extras. Stubbly guys: the lining's made with you in mind, but they're not bullet proof. And sure, they're washable, but they take time to dry so do what all the cool kids are doing and rotate sets. There's nothing like a clean helmet to make you a sharp dressed rider.
The right pads will keep your smile in place, and who doesn't like happy cheeks?

Wife has a small Arai helmet and she wanted it to fit a lil more snug. Got her the XS 40mm cheek pads and now her helmet fits perfectly.

Worth The Effort
My local BMW sold me the helmet several years ago, it has always been too tight in the cheeks, of course they told me it would contour to fit with wear. I didn't know the cheek pads were replaceable and I doubt if they did or cared. Retailers ought to be properly trained to fit riding gear.
I'm very pleased with the informative and educational efforts put forth by Revilla

Helmet needed to be freshened up
After riding a few years in the Texas heat, it was time to replace some of the lining of my helmet. Since I have a narrow face, I went up a size on the cheek guards. Helmet smells sweet and fits perfectly.
