Alpinestars Tech Jacket Spoiler
Good idea, poorly executed
First off, this is a great idea. Sometimes when you're in the tuck- or as in my case because I'm on a naked bike, just leaning forward aggressively- your jacket rides up a little more than you'd like. Some brands solve this by having their jackets have a little bit of a drop-tail. Usually these drop-tails are not huge- a little bit goes a long way. But my A Stars jacket does not have a drop-tail, it has a straight back, and I thought that, based on the descriptions of the product, this should effectively be a drop tail. Like I said, good idea. But it was amazingly poorly executed.
Problem 1 was that, even though I got the appropriate size for my medium jacket- as confirmed by the packaging for the "tech spoiler"- the zippers didn't exactly line up. You can see from my pictures that the zipper on the tech spoiler was about half an inch too short compared to the zipper in the jacket. This is despite the fact that the packaging itself claims that the Large tech spoiler is for jackets size 50-58, M-2XL.
Okay, so I could probably live with 1/2 inch difference in zipper lengths if I thought this was really the product for me but...
Problem 2 is that this thing extended all the way down to the bottom of my butt. It was ridiculously, incredibly, nonsensically long. If I sat as though I was on the bike, it extended out from my hips because it's semi-rigid and looked like I was wearing a rigid mini-skirt or tutu.
This product is going back immediately and I hope it's needless to say that I would not recommend it to anyone.

Glad I didn't listen to customer service
So to start off this review, I think this product is awesome does exactly what I wanted it to to do (gives my jacket some extra length and keeps cold air from going up the back of my jacket) so recently I purchased an alpinestars T-Jaws textile water proof jacket.
Purchased a size 2xl to make room for the nucleon back and chest protectors and give me enough length as i am tall - 6' 2". So i emailed revzilla customer service to see which one would fit my jacket and when the 2xl spoiler would be available (currently out of stock) and they said yes you need a 2xl and no idea when it would be back in stock. Asked if their was any way to make a large work and they said not unless I take it to a Taylor and get a new correct size zip on.
Doubtful of the advice accuracy I went ahead and ordered a large figured I would make it work somehow if it didn't fit and to my surprise when I got the size large jacket spoiler it fit my 2xl jacket perfectly.
Great product just need to rely on customer reviews and it voice over ribs or alpine stars because obviously they don't know which one fits what. I emailed them to suggest they put the zipper length for all the sizes under the items description, that way you can just measure the zipper in your jacket and order the right one accordingly instead of having to guess or get wrong advice from customer service.
My size large jacket spoiler measures about 29 inches as does the pants/spoiler connection zipper in my T-Jaws jacket (measured with a standard tape measure)

Finally getting around to writing this. Purchased in November 2014. Another riding friend of mine has a spoiler from a previous year and it fits his Atem very nicely so I decided to get one too. Definitely helps keep you warmer during winter riding and I have removed it for the summer. My issues with the spoiler is that when attached to my T-GP Plus R Air or my Celer, it hangs down farther than it should and looks a bit sloppy. The closest I can compare it to is the coat tails on the old-timey tuxedos. It nearly covers my entire butt. Essentially its a couple inches longer than it really needs to be. Turns out, this issue is more with the zipper attachment within the jackets than the actual design of the spoiler. The zipper receiver within my two jackets is attached via elastic strip. I believe this is so that the jacket has some give to it should you decide to zip it to some pants for a 2-piece suit. As a result this elastic strip causes the spoiler to hang too low. Another side effect of the low hanging spoiler is that the ends can poke out from underneath my jacket and the wind will actually cause the spoiler to flip up and render it useless. As mentioned by another reviewer, the zipper lengths do not line up.

My gift to society is ordering one of these and covering the hairy mushroom top that is my midsection.
I ordered the M, L, and XL to try and fit into my Large 2014 Alpinestars Gunner jacket and the Large ended being perfect. All three are identical except for the zipper length. I took some measurements with a cloth tape measure from the middle of zipper handle (the part you pull) to the end of the little metal tang on the end.
Medium - 27 Inches
Large - 28 Inches
XL - Nearly 29 Inches

Great if your A* jacket is short.
I bought this jacket spoiler because my torso is long and my jacket is always above my belt. The "spoiler" zips in easily and helps keep the jacket in place. Even with a backpack on, the material of the spoiler makes it kind of grip you and not ride up. Looks pretty normal when installed on the jacket. I got an XL spoiler and it fits well in a 58 Euro AlpineStars GP-R jacket.

Perfect accessory for the jacket to cover the lower back and also for person who can see your butt crack.
recommended that if using medium jacket buy a size large.

Good cosmetic add on.
Great idea to lengthen the back of a riding jacket. However, the sizing is off. I wear a size medium jacket so you would think a size medium spoiler will fit perfectly. Not so, package label on the medium says it fits size small jackets. Zipper was an inch too short for my jacket. Strange that Alpinestars would do that on the sizing. Luckily my mom is a seamstress. She fixed it so now the zipper lines up perfectly.

Alpinestar Jacket Spoiler
Great addition, prevents air from flowing where it shouldn't be in the cold and adds "style" if you could say to any jacket...
Very comportable doesn't get in the way on or off the bike, easily attached and removed.
