my friend bought me this glove and i am a bit disappointed by them i had gp2 pro's i think a few years ago which were a large size fitted well and could ride for hours in them and now with these glove i have to ride with my little finger straight because it cuts the circulation to it i don't get the right size will be good for thee money but i would prefer to get the better model

I normally wear a Large and ordered these in XL so I could wear a liner during colder months. These things are SKIN TIGHT. I had my dad try them on; he normally wears a Medium and thought they were even a bit snug. I've worn them a couple times thinking they might stretch and hopefully they will with more use, but order two sizes up or you may be surprised (unpleasantly).
As far as the glove itself I am very happy. They are nicely pre-curved, seem to offer above-average protection, and look well and sturdily made. Even the rigid knuckle shield is unobtrusive when on or off the bike.
Airflow seems pretty restricted. I wore them in 40-degree temps on the freeway and only had the ends of my fingers feeling chilled. May have to get another pair for real hot-weather use.
I'd also wish for more padded protection on the backs of the fingers. There seems to be almost vestigial bumps sewn on. I tried hitting the back of my hand on a table and it stung so I don't know how protective they'll be in a real crash.
Overall (except for the sizing issue) I'd give these gloves an A-/B+. At the clearance price they're a steal; at full retail I'd probably be disappointed.

First gloves I've bought since purchasing my bike. First gloves of this kind I've ever owned. What an amazing feel to these things! Protection is amazing without being over the top. Love the styling as well.
Make sure you go a size bigger than you think you'll need.

Fit is very small. According to the size chart I should have ordered a medium, but I read someone else's review and they suggested ordering 1 size up so I ordered a large. They are really tight even after wearing nearly everyday for over a week. I would suggest ordering 2 sizes up. The qualty and protection offer is excellent especially at this price point. The look of the glove is also very stylish.

They fit snug when I first got them a week ago, and are already breaking in nicely and feel so good when I put them on. There is a tiny bit of space at the ends of all the fingertips and thumb (maybe an 1/8") which is perfect for me, they are all exactly the right length and fit true to size. I got a medium. The carbon fiber knuckle protection is comfortable and I don't feel it at all (looks cool too!) I like that there is reinforced leather instead of hard plastic over the smaller knuckles on my fingers because those never seem to fit right especially when bending your fingers a lot. The stitching and materials are solid and I trust these gloves to protect my hands if I ever need them to, unlike some of the cheaper gloves I've tried on. Temperature-wise, they are great for southern california weather down to about 50 degrees F at which point you really need a warmer glove anyway. I also like the gauntlet style that covers the sleeve of my jacket.
Bottom line, alpinestars did a great job with the SP-2 gloves and I recommend them highly.

This is my third pair of SP-2s. I snagged these since they are discontinued. I'm sure the new SP-2s are just as nice. They fit one size small but break in nicely and hold up well. Great glove for under $100.
