Best Backpack for Trasporting Bulk. Loving this backpack so far. Very well designed and the materials used look and feel of great quality. Using this for groceries right now as it can store a hefty amount of items and will soon be using it for school as well. The ability to hide/tuck-in the waist straps when not in use is by far one of the best features to date. August 17, 2012

Good, but annoying zippers Got this backpack about 2-3 weeks ago, it fits larger size laptops nicely (one of the main reasons I got it) - fits my macbook pro with the larger screen size. It also fits everything else I need to transport back and forth. I like the backpack a lot and I'm happy with my purchase, the only thing really bad (not so bad) about the backpack is the zippers can be annoying at times, but it's not really a big deal. The two things I like the most are the fold over flap on top and the ability to hide the waist straps if you don't want them hanging out. February 2, 2012

Answer: 
The helmet carrier unzips from the back so that the helmet is held against the back of the pack. There is a hard(ish) rubber like material on the flap that protects the helmet from sitting on the ground when the pack is put down in an upright position. I've attached some photo's. Hope this helped.

I would say this backpack can only fit either the jacket or the boots. Squeezing both would be quite a stretch.
