AGV GP-Tech / T-2 Face Shield
A Solid Tinted Visor
I purchased the Iridium Gold visor for the Simoncelli helmet. It was exactly what I expected. It fits helmet perfectly just as the stock one. It does say it's for race use on the visor and includes tear off posts. Great tint during the day. It's a little dark at night but I can still see as long as there are street lights.

This product is as Described
AGV is one the best helmets out. I've had AGV helmets for 9 years and the fit and finish is superior to others.

Not much to say, great product
I've only used this lens for about 2 weeks. Clean, clear lens with no noticeable distortion.
I got the 'SMOKE' color and it's great in the day time. Haven't had much use at night yet but it doesn't seem like it'd be bad at all. Great tint, can't see in from outside but nice on the inside.
Easy install. BUT first practice taking out and putting back in with the STOCK clear lens, that way you know how the inserts line up.
The only thing I don't like is that it's "not rated for street" use, meaning it offers less protection than other lenses. Made for track. Having said that, I use this as my daily driver on 20 minute freeway rides.

Good products for me for over 15 years
Love the mid to high end AGV race helmets... First thing I do is get a light smoke and a dark smoke visor to go with the stock clear.
Clear is night only for me... but even then I tend to use the light smoke at times of year when it is dark in the mornings so it is still good when in traffic but probably not ok out where there are no street lights... but I've done it a couple times and it wasn't tooo bad out of town... however in the city it is still perfect at midnight with city lighting.
Dark is the same but can be a little uncomfortable when it is dark out in the city so I wouldn't recommend it there... but I'd say dawn to dusk is perfect for that one... it is pretty scary out on the highway at night if you are in deer country though, so I wouldn't push the dark smoke once it gets really dark out and definitely not out of town unless you really have to.
But the REAL AGV visors are always good visors, knockoffs work but haze quicker, fog more and distort vision more and are not worth the $20 discount over the real thing.
just a note they are all anti scratch and fog resistant, but unless you get the anti-fog version, they can fog up a little when temps get really cold but they work fine in summer... I crack my regular visors and it is fine, but I switch out to the more expensive anti-fog model when I drive temps below freezing.
On all of these visors, clarity is great & without distortion.. pretty much like nothing is there other than a little tint and no air in the eyes...
well, until you've had the visor a few years and get some deep scratches in it... but it is pretty scratch resistant overall... and way better than anything HJC has
My dad's HJC looks grungy and dirty from scratches and cleaning bugs off... yet mine is pristine with similar if not more use overall.
The Italian made AGV helmets have been awesome for me, but some of the lower models have been slipping a little since the lower lines have started being made in china... the Italian ones are still first class and I'll take them over Shoei any day and my china made T-2 is still better then the majority of the competition.

I needed another faceshield
I got a AGV T2 helmet but in summer the one that comes with the helmet is not sun blocking so I got the light smoke which is too close to the clear then I exchanged for the SMOKE (BTW great customer service from Revzilla) when I got it it looked very dark to me but actually when you ride it it is very clear and the vision is great (may be not at night - I have not tried) The AGV helmet have easy pop out / pop in side clips so fairly simple to switch faceshield.
Personally I wish they had a tint that was not as dark but darker than the light smoke.

Disappointing to the average rider.
My first impression was that the smoke face shield was lighter and flimsier than the original clear shield that came with my GP Tech helmet. It was initially hard to put in as for the inner peg must meet with the red latch inside the helmet which was slightly hard to see due to me getting a tinted shield, But not the end of the world. My biggest disappointment was that the shield came with a note stating that it does not meet any safety regulations and should only be used on the track (could explain the lighter flimsier feel?) so basically if you wear a DOT (or whatever regs your country has) approved helmet on the road and want a tinted shield don't plan on your eyes being protected from any elements that can penetrate or shatter the face shield.
As far as the tinting its great! inside its a light grey color while outside the lenses are pitch black. I also chose the non anti-fog treated lens due to the fact that if you use a cleaner such as windex or alcohol it can cloud the shield. if you end up getting that feature just use water and a microfiber cloth. Hope this helps.

Best faceshield ever!!
I got the Iridium Mirror for my AGV T-2 and its just amazing how good does it look from the inside and the outside. Its just great and I extremely recommend it for anyone who has a T-2 helmet.
