I must admit that I was a little disappointed when I got this out of the box and saw it already had a scratch on it. That being said, however, the face shield definitely does guard against the sun well and isn't as dark as a lot of the reviews I've read, which is a good thing. It filters just enough light to still give you good visibility.
I would recommend this in a heartbeat.

how dark is the smoke face shield for afx fx-90?

i would like to know how dark the face shield is. i prefer a very dark face shield, but am looking for just enough so that you cant see the inside of the helmet. is this face shield that dark?

The smoke face shield is comparable to wearing sunglasses. In normal conditions, someone else shouldn't be able to see your face inside the helmet. In low light conditions, however, your true identity may be revealed...3 weeks, 6 days ago

You can barely see inside the helmet. I don't think anyone could ID someone wearing this shield. I would have liked it darker because my eyes are light sensitive.2 days ago
