Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windscreen Yamaha FZ6R

The Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windscreen is the most popular windscreen with in the Zero Gravity family. Its innovative "bubble within a bubble" design was pioneered by Zero Gravity and provides the perfect amount of wind protection for riding in the tuck or sport riding position. Additionally, each windscreen has been sculpted to enhance the lines of each individual motorcycle. Style and protection, it’s a perfect combo.

All Zero Gravity Windscreens feature optically clear acrylic that absorbs vibration, resists cracking and are fabricated using highly specialized vacuum forming techniques, similar to those used to form aircraft canopies. The result is a virtually distortion free windscreen with the finest optical clarity on the market. Additionally, light scratches can be buffed out of acrylic windscreens as opposed to polycarbonate windscreens that can be permanently marred.

Features:

  • Shock resistant
  • Vacuum formed
  • Distortion free

Great Windshield!
Sits slightly higher than stock but gives the bike an awesome look and it really cuts down the wind hitting your chest.

Nice upgrade
Definitely cuts the wind way better than stock. Takes about 60 seconds to install, fits wells and looks better than stock (I bought light smoke).

I'm 6'3, with the stock windscreen, I was getting blasted in the chest anywhere above 60mph. With the Zero Gravity installed, the wind hits me in the upper shoulders and above, and I ride with the seat in elevated position. And if I tuck just a little the wind is entirely on my helmet, and off my body completely. A lot more comfortable to ride at highway speeds.

Highly recommended.

Best upgrade for the FZ6R
Airflow is vastly improved. It completely eliminated the buffeting produced by the stock windshield. Totally transformed the riding experience. Looks great, works great, well made. Highly recommended.

Terrific for me
Me- 5 feet 6. I think these double bubble screen works best for shorter riders. If you are tall get the sport touring screen. At my height the wind is off my chest and away more towards my arms. I can tuck in easy at freeway speeds and away from all that windblast. The air turbulence in general is reduced a lot. Much more mellow ride without that stock screen sending screaming air right at you.

Wifey Loves It!
I got this because wifey was getting a sore neck from the buffeting on her 2014 Yamaha FZ6R, with stock shield.

After the 4 minute install, we went for a 150 mile ride to check it out. She immediately noticed a difference, but wasn't sure if it was working as hoped. After we finished the ride, she realized she wasn't uncomfortable and no neck pain. She's very happy, and so am I. For reference, she's 5'6".

An easy recommendation!

Good windscreen that improves air flow
Good product. I'm 6'2 and was looking to improve the airflow off of my windscreen. I seem to get much more smoother air hitting me vs the stock windscreen, especially at higher speeds. Also I like the dark smoke tint which gives the bike a cleaner look.

If I had any complaint, it would be that the material seems thinner than stock.

Move the air to hit my helmet and not my chest.
ImprezaR1 on Jul 12, 2016
Because the stock clear windscreen is not cutting it for me anymore. I wanted to increase the wind resistance on my body for a more comfortable commute to work.

Purely for looks in my case. I think this wind screen is much better looking than my stock one on my 12' FZ6R.

question on double bubble v. the sr series. in the video anthony mentions that the double bubble would be better for the track but in the images for the fz6r sr series, it looks to me like it is more aero than the double bubble. can anyone confirm that the double bubble is better than the sr series? thank you!
A shopper on Aug 27, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I guess it depends on what you mean by 'better'. I prefer the double bubble as it deflects more wind over my head without forcing me to get into a full tuck (on either the freeway or track).

As far as I can tell all MotoGP bikes use a double bubble design (or similar).
Would this windscreen fit Yamaha XJ 6 Diversion? By pictures it's similar to FZ6R, but I'm not sure.
Alexey T on Jul 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I think it will fit. It looks like the same design. There are 3 screws on each side like the FZ6R. It is made to fit a lot of bikes. Not just the FZ6R. Just make sure you can easily return it if it doesn't fit... What do you have to lose?
