Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windscreen for Yamaha FZ 6 R

  • Best optics of any windscreen on the market. All are fabricated using highly specialized "blow molding" techniques similar to those used to form aircraft canopies. The result is virtually disortion-free optics
  • Made from the finest grade of 1/8" acrylic plastic. Each windscreen is stretched as it is formed, a process which results in superior strength and flexibility. This flexibility allows the windscreen to absorb road vibrations and resist cracking
  • Factory drilled holes and profiles that match your OEM fairing for a precise fit
  • Used by the best Superbike, Grand Prix, Supersport and Endurance teams in America, Zero Gravity windscreens dominate road racing

Worst Purchase 2014 Ninja 1000: Bought the shield thinking it was going to be head and shoulders above the stock shield. I was very disappointed! To begin, the shield arrived damaged, which however, was totally taken care of by Revzilla! Great customer service! Since the shield had a sliver of plastic broke off at the point I knew it couldn't be resold. I mounted and took a ride. So much more turbulence at all speeds and positions than the stock shield I immediately took it off. The damaged part was cosmetic and not performance, so to think, "Oh well, it was broken so that's why it felt bad" is not valid. Even a perfect constructed shield of this type would perform the same. Gonna roll stock or try the flat Puig shield. July 24, 2014
i love the look of the double bubble looks good and was packaged real well. only took 3 day to get to me. July 22, 2014
ADDS A SPORTIER LOOK TO MY GIXXER NICE AND SLEEK LOOKING WINDSHIELD THAT I BELIEVE REALLY IMPROVES THE AERODYNAMICS July 21, 2014
Great Build Quality Love the windscreen really, worked out the box. No installation issues, was simple as can be. It was fantastic bang for buck as it keeps wind from being directed at my helmet and blow me around. The stock windscreen isnt good at all. With sport bars installed you are kept out of the wind really good. Also the dark smoke makes your bike look that much more appealing, I see quite a few head checks at stop lights haha! Great product and I recommend it to anyone. July 14, 2014
Looks great I was very impressed on how fast I got this! I got this the very next day. Only took a few minutes to install and makes my R6 look way better than the stock one. I would definetly buy another here if I had to. Highly recommend it! July 7, 2014
Great product for tall riders! I'm 6'2" and was getting blasted by the wind on my R6. I put this windscreen in about 10 min. Now have about 70% of the wind I did before. And it looks great! July 7, 2014
product needs improvement Tab on lower hole broke off on install. Better quality materials are needed. July 7, 2014
awesome!! Got this for my 05zx6r and now riding on the fwy is so much better a big dif. From the stock one also makes the bike look alot better June 30, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Christine S: Because the stock clear windscreen is not cutting it for me anymore. I wanted to increase the wind resistance on my body for a more comfortable commute to work. Jul 8, 2014
Ronald H: Purely for looks in my case. I think this wind screen is much better looking than my stock one on my 12' FZ6R. Feb 26, 2014

A shopper asked: question on double bubble v. the sr series. in the video anthony mentions that the double bubble would be better for the track but in the images for the fz6r sr series, it looks to me like it is more aero than the double bubble. can anyone confirm that the double bubble is better than the sr series? thank you! Kim R: I guess it depends on what you mean by 'better'. I prefer the double bubble as it deflects more wind over my head without forcing me to get into a full tuck (on either the freeway or track).

As far as I can tell all MotoGP bikes use a double bubble design (or similar).

Jorel P: I think so..... it definitely is functional and looks better in my opinion. But its about the buyers wants and needs. If you wanna cut drag and not tuck so hard at high speeds I say double bubble. Aug 27, 2013

Nicholas T: SR is just a stock styled windshield. Even at full tuck there's a ton of drag and buffeting. The DB cuts a ton of the buffeting, and gives a little more aerodynamic flow. Aug 28, 2013

Michael D: The SR windscreen is just a duplicate of your stock windscreen, but made out of acrylic instead of polycarbonate. The Double Bubble is more aerodynamic, and is better suited for the track. MotoGP bikes use the Corsa, but unfortunately the Corsa is not available for the Hayabusa. Sep 3, 2013

Harry B: I changed out to a double bubble on my 2011 R1 that I use mostly for the track. Its a huge improvement over stock. It reduces turbulence and gives me more space while tucked. Not a very fast rider but it works well even past 140 mph on the straights. Aug 27, 2013

Jonathan T: The SR has a profile similar to the stock windscreen. The double bubble would be more efficient at diverting the air up and over and around the rider. I remember having to still tuck in a bit to get out of the wind stream. Aug 27, 2013

Alexey T asked: Would this windscreen fit Yamaha XJ 6 Diversion? By pictures it's similar to FZ6R, but I'm not sure. Jul 17, 2014

Jeff P: I think it will fit. It looks like the same design. There are 3 screws on each side like the FZ6R. It is made to fit a lot of bikes. Not just the FZ6R. Just make sure you can easily return it if it doesn't fit... What do you have to lose? Jul 17, 2014
