Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windscreen Kawasaki Ninja 300 2013-2017 Videos

Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windscreen Kawasaki Ninja 300

The Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windscreen is the most popular windscreen with in the Zero Gravity family. Its innovative "bubble within a bubble" design was pioneered by Zero Gravity and provides the perfect amount of wind protection for riding in the tuck or sport riding position. Additionally, each windscreen has been sculpted to enhance the lines of each individual motorcycle. Style and protection, it’s a perfect combo.

All Zero Gravity Windscreens feature optically clear acrylic that absorbs vibration, resists cracking and are fabricated using highly specialized vacuum forming techniques, similar to those used to form aircraft canopies. The result is a virtually distortion free windscreen with the finest optical clarity on the market. Additionally, light scratches can be buffed out of acrylic windscreens as opposed to polycarbonate windscreens that can be permanently marred.

Features:

  • Shock resistant
  • Vacuum formed
  • Distortion free

Smooth air
Was on the fence when it came to choosing a windscreen, but knew one thing the stock ninja 300 windscreen was not very effective. The Zero Gravity Doubble Bubble is excellent, it smoothed out the air comming over the fairing nicely, quited things down at highway speeds, installed easily, and looks pretty sharp. A note on installation; the windscreen does not fit as snuggly as the oem. First off it is thinner, lighter, more flexible, and the holes are slightly larger. After attaching it to the bike you can grab it and move it up and down and it squeaks. Now, the sceen does not move while riding around at any speed and there is no audible sound coming from the windscreen at any speed. I have read that some people have used various rubber grouments and such to get a tighter, snigger, squeak free fit. I am leaving mine as is since the fellas at Zero Gravity invented the Doubble Bubble and built the part to a specification for the 300. And in case you didn't know the Zilla guys are the best!

Looks great, unsure about performance
I love the look, it loos better than stock. Its also light than the stock windshield but its also not as durable. I'm unsure about if it helps with the wind, maybe because I purchased within 500 miles of riding the bike and didn't get to really experience how bad it could get or maybe its because I'm tall (6 ft) but It doesn't divert as much wind as I'd except it too.

Good Wind Protection
Definitely better wind protection than the stock screen. I got the light smoke and it looks great on my white Ninja. At low speeds it doesn't do very much, but over say, 45 or 50, I can tell. The wind hits me at the top of the shoulders now instead of at the chest. I'm 6'2" so makes a huge difference.

Looks awesome!
Replaced a OEM Wind screen on my Ninja 300 with this, and it makes quite a difference for wind protection. Not only does the thing look heaps better then the stock wind screen but it performs much better. I no longer have to, LITERALLY, hug the tank to get the wind off of me when i am tucking. On a side note, this wind screen is MUCH thinner then the OEM one, but it seems durable enough. Overall really happy!

Exactly as you expect
This product delivers what you'd expect.

it doesn't provide the coverage of a touring screen and you shouldn't expect it to because it's not a touring screen. What it does do is give a bit more wind protection in full tuck than the stock wind shield.

The dark smoke is also very nice tough. It's an upgrade from my plasti-dipped OEM windshield.

Looking at this or a cheaper double bubble but which is better Acrylic? Or ABS? And why?
A shopper on Feb 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: well, like most things in life which is better depends on what you preferences are and in this case i would say your intended application. Abs plastic or polycarbonate is stronger, more ridged, heavier, usually meets dot standards, does not shatter when meet with overwhelming forces, it scratches easier but can be buffed, it is less optically clear and produces more artifacts while looking through it. Acrylic is lighter, more flexible, less prone to scratches, is optically superior, it will crack and can shatter when meet with overwhelming forces, some people say that in an crash it can create sharp edges that my harm the rider, although i have never seen any evidence of this, it does not meet dot standards. my application is on a sport bike, so, the screen is small and i think that the safety issue is a non issue for me. if i was putting a windscreen on a tourer or a cruiser i would go with polycarbonate due the the fact that the screen would be upright and take much more abuse. for a sport-bike application i prefer the acrylic. Zero Gravity is the originator of the double bubble for race applications and i like to go with a proven product. i hope this helped. also watch the Revzilla video with Anthony he hits some of these points in regards to Zero Gravity.
I'm 6ft tall - do any other tall riders have guidance on whether to go with the Double Bubble or the Corsair?
Brad B on Jun 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm considerably shorter than you are and I still have to tuck quite a bit to get out of the wind using the double bubble. I'd definitely go with the taller one.
