Jack R asked: HI REVZILLA!!!

i've seen other sites selling the TRC full exhaust as being compatible from '09 up to the 2014 ZX6R model years (not just '09-'12). could you provide some clarification on this? has anyone made the attempt to install it on their '14? i took a peek at the installation manual as well, and the instructions illustrate a 2012 ZX6R. this enrages me (haha). thanks!!!

Josue J: I called yoshimura and they said if the exhaust set up is still the same as far as screw and bolt locations then yes. Otherwise contact them and they'll make one that'll fit for you. For example from 08 to 2012 my ninja is the same when it comes to maintenance and repair or adding new parts. The new 2013 and up is fuel injected and the set up is different. Not sure what state you're in but in Texas I ride without the silencer on my full exhaust and it sounds and rides great. Not too loud but makes other riders make u turns and ask what kind of bike I have. Jul 22, 2014

Jack R: You might get three replies here lol. Thanks man, I couldn't find a lot of info on the subject, i'm glad I got a reply here. I'm probably going to make the purchase next year or in the off season. Warranty pfft! I don't think the police care too much up here in Canada, I guess as long as you're not being an idiot about it! I don't do too much riding in the city anyway, I try to get out to the mountains as much as possible. How do you like the upgrade? Did you do the work yourself? Jul 22, 2014
Josue J: Yeah I did the work myself in my living room. Took me about 3 hours. The upgrade with a K&n air filter works great. I can notice a difference on my 250r. I still have the dyno jet kit which once I reject my bike along with exhaust and air filter will give it a noticeable gain. I reccommend you do all three as well on your bike and then get your bike dyno spec to get the most out of your engine. I'm actually getting mine ready to race. Jul 24, 2014
