Yoshimura RS-4 Street Slip-On Exhaust Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R
While the RS-4 was debuted as Yoshimura's premier exhaust for off-road racing applications, R&D couldn't stop there. They have mated this sophisticated and stylish muffler to compliment the styling of the new bike. The RS-4 is pentagonal shaped muffler that features a carbon fiber cone end cap, two staged stepped baffle and striking good looks. The RS-4 muffler features a new front cap design that functions as a polyresonant chamber. thus creating a more quiet muffler with improved mid to top end power.
Along with improving sound and power, this system moves the muffler weight lower and closer to the bike for improved handling and weight distribution. Yoshimura continues to provide the best in performance exhaust systems.
Slip-On Systems include RS-4 muffler, laser cut heatshield, and all necessary hardware for installation.
Note: This exhaust is CARB compliant. Please check local laws before purchasing. Some modifications may be prohibited in some states.
On the quiet side
Bought my ZX6R with this exhaust on it. The exhaust is well made and the carbon cap really looks good. After riding the course of the summer I am actually planning on switching out to a full R77 system. The RS-4 is a nice slip on if your planning on going that route, but I personally think the exhaust is a bit quiet, although in the higher rev ranges it does sound good. If you are looking for a good way to shed some weight and maybe add a little extra power this is a nice pipe, just remember its on the quieter side of Yoshimura pipes.

Very easy to install! It looks GREAT! Doesn't sound too much louder unless you also buy a de-cat kit ($100). Wheelies are much easier now. . .

exceptional value, awesome look, and awesome sounds
Bought this for my 2011 zx6r, the installation was very simple, and really anyone could do the job..the only tool someone may need is the security torx bit to remove a screw for throttle servo. 9.00 at home depot and total time involved was less than an hour start to finish.

Sleek, nice sound.
I finally rode a few hundred miles to give an accurate evaluation of the Yoshi RS-4.
I chose the Yoshi for its adaptability to the my 2009 ZX-6r’s existing ECU map, its slightly louder sound, streamlined, sleek look and its bang for the buck. The bike sounds perfect, IMO, and has a nice growl when on it but quiet enough so it won’t attract unwanted attention. It a bit lean when totally off the gas due to better flow and the elimination of the stock restrictor valve, actually I like that as well. It seems to run a bit stronger throughout the RPM range. Appearance wise it’s fantastic compared to the stock behemoth! Finally RevZilla’s price, return policy and free shipping made the choice an easy one.

The exhaust comes easy to go out of the box.
This exhaust is great sound through all the power ranges. Easy to install with all the parts you need. Not extreamly loud.

Steven P:Super Tenere installation. Let's be as accurate as possible when we are trying to answer questions those interested in purchasing post. I can't think of a better way to assist others in spending money than to provide responsible information in this forum. I installed the Yosh RS-4 exhaust system today. Weight of stock exhaust 12lbs. Weight of Yosh with silencer installed 6.5lbs. Quite substantial as a percentage but 5.5lbs is accurate. Scale accuracy is based on the difference not exact weights as I did not calibrate to the oz. The net weight savings is 5.5lbs!May 21, 2014
