Yoshimura RS3 Street Slip-On Exhaust BMW R1200GS 2010-2012
Excellent product and most bang for your buck!!!
After purchasing my 2010 GSA I was disappointed with the muffled sound of the exhaust. The twin makes a very distinct sound that could barely be heard. I didnt want to spend a ton of money on a slip on since I feel that most exhaust systems are overpriced. I found the yoshimura on several sites, it received excellent review so I decided to order one from revzilla since they have great customer service. I could not be more pleased with this slip on. It came with everything needed to install, detailed instructions and it took me about 10 minutes. The sound is perfect, throaty but not too loud. It allows you to enjoy the sound of the twin. I find myself no longer wearing ear buds! The sound of the twin is all the music I need.

A reasonably priced and performing slip-on for my GSA
Before I bought this slip on I had a full Remus Hexacone system on my 2011 R1200GSA. I loved it, but at times it was kind of loud. Especially for those multi-day trips and day long rides. So I went back to stock and sold it last fall.
But I always found the stock sound too gut-less. So I found myself looking at pipe again. Not to mention that I wanted to save 10lbs on the back end , since the stock can is noticeably heavy,
So, I came across this Yoshi can for a nice price. That coupled with some Zilla Cash....I bought the stainless version of the slip on. The GS is already a big heavy bike, so to save some pounds helps, but i'm not going into ounces or grams to justify the price of the carbon or Ti cans. However, the can is ...err.....very shiny. So either I'm going to put some miles on it quick and go thru some mud to cover it up. Or paint it in a heat resistant paint to bring it back to a less ostentatious color and finish.
The install was very easy. Mainly because the GS has probably THE simplest exhaust setup ever. I was done in under 15 minutes.
It DOES clear the factory BMW racks and cases on the GS Adventure, if anyone is wondering. Actually it fits in quite nicely. The OEM can stoped about 6 inches short of the back of the bike. So items in the left case would get a little warm. And the left turn signal, racks, license plate...etc...got discolored and smoky looking from the stock exhaust. This Yoshi can stops exactly under the left signal, flush with the back of the bike. So it wont heat up my cases and smoke up the tail of the bike anymore. Which is a big plus.
The sound is nice. Perfect in my opinion. Since this slip-on is CARB compliant, its not too loud at all. If anything, it sounds very close to stock, but with a little more volume and a noticeable increase in bass. I haven't tried the dB killer yet, but I would imagine it would take a down a few decibels back closer to stock.
I only had one small issue with the slip on. The included heat shield will not work with an aftermarket sidestand foot, like the Touratech I have installed on my bike. After looking at the problem for a minute or two, it's not due to the heat shield, but the angle of the bend on the slip-on's connecting pipe. So I was left with the options; take off the large side stand foot or don't use the heat shield. I park alot on rough or soft surfaces, so I decided to go without the little heat shield and keep the foot. Which is just as well, since it was very chromed out and had another Yoshimura logo stamped into it. It's bad enough that the logo/name is branded on 5 or 6 times, on a two foot long pipe.
