Yoshimura RS-4 Slip-On Exhaust Yamaha Super Tenere 2012
Great Value - 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere!
This exhaust was listed for a 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere. After a lot of research I purchased it for my 2014 Tenere and it fits and performs perfect. Very easy to install! Sound is decent; not too loud and gives the bike a little growl. The most noticeable improvement is the performance off the line and at low speed. I gave the "Finish" a good rating due to the exhaust tip not fitting flush to the muffler. There is a gap that is very noticeable and I'm unable to get it to fit flush. I was very close to purchasing the Akrapovic, but it is ridiculously expensive for a slip on. This Yoshimura offers great value at a reasonable price.

It's still wintertime so haven't had much time to fully test the exhaust. It was simple to put on and feels like a quality product. Total install time was maybe 30 minutes. I've ridden maybe 30 miles with the silencer in and it sounds perfect. Slightly deeper tone and a little more throaty than stock. No noticeable power difference and didn't expect any. I bought for the price and value per dollar which I think was properly advertised. Looks better and weighs less than stock.

I had my slip-on options down to the TwoBros, and the Yoshimura RS-4. I choose the RS-4 because I was worried about noise. After the install, which was very easy, I'm happy for my choice. I love the looks, and it's only slightly louder than stock. I was also surprised to feel an extra kick in low gear on acceleration. Beautiful exhaust, and it does what it's supposed to.

Great exhaust with a few issues
The exhaust is great, sounds great, looks great mounts great!
BUT the clamp on the exhaust is too big and allows for the exhaust to basically move freely on the header pipe. The clamp cannot be tightened anymore as it has bottomed out.
Also. The positioning of the exhaust directs exhaust gasses at the left rear side reflector and guaranteed will melt it as it did mine.

Solid slip on
The only thing I was dissapointed in was the craftsmanship of the mid pipe. Pipe slipped inside the other pipe, then wire fed. Positive: nice sound, can looks good, easy installation!

exceptional value, awesome look, and awesome sounds
Bought this for my 2011 zx6r, the installation was very simple, and really anyone could do the job..the only tool someone may need is the security torx bit to remove a screw for throttle servo. 9.00 at home depot and total time involved was less than an hour start to finish.

Sleek, nice sound.
I finally rode a few hundred miles to give an accurate evaluation of the Yoshi RS-4.
I chose the Yoshi for its adaptability to the my 2009 ZX-6r’s existing ECU map, its slightly louder sound, streamlined, sleek look and its bang for the buck. The bike sounds perfect, IMO, and has a nice growl when on it but quiet enough so it won’t attract unwanted attention. It a bit lean when totally off the gas due to better flow and the elimination of the stock restrictor valve, actually I like that as well. It seems to run a bit stronger throughout the RPM range. Appearance wise it’s fantastic compared to the stock behemoth! Finally RevZilla’s price, return policy and free shipping made the choice an easy one.

The exhaust comes easy to go out of the box.
This exhaust is great sound through all the power ranges. Easy to install with all the parts you need. Not extreamly loud.
