Yoshimura RS-4 Slip-On Exhaust Kawasaki ZX6R 2009-2012

Yoshimura R&D has developed a brand new exhaust system for the newly redesigned ZX-6R, the RS-4.

While the RS-4 was debuted as our premier exhaust for off-road racing applications, R&D couldn't stop there. They have mated this sophisticated and stylish muffler to compliment the styling of the new bike. The RS-4 is pentagonal shaped muffler that features a carbon fiber cone end cap, two staged stepped baffle and striking good looks. The RS-4 muffler features a new front cap design that functions as a polyresonant chamber. thus creating a more quiet muffler with improved mid to top end power.

Along with improving sound and power, this system moves the muffler weight lower and closer to the bike for improved handling and weight distribution. Yoshimura continues to provide the best in performance exhaust systems.

Slip-On Systems include RS-4 muffler, laser cut heatshield, and all necessary hardware for installation.

Sleek, nice sound. I finally rode a few hundred miles to give an accurate evaluation of the Yoshi RS-4. I chose the Yoshi for its adaptability to the my 2009 ZX-6r’s existing ECU map, its slightly louder sound, streamlined, sleek look and its bang for the buck. The bike sounds perfect, IMO, and has a nice growl when on it but quiet enough so it won’t attract unwanted attention. It a bit lean when totally off the gas due to better flow and the elimination of the stock restrictor valve, actually I like that as well. It seems to run a bit stronger throughout the RPM range. Appearance wise it’s fantastic compared to the stock behemoth! Finally RevZilla’s price, return policy and free shipping made the choice an easy one. May 1, 2013
The exhaust comes easy to go out of the box. This exhaust is great sound through all the power ranges. Easy to install with all the parts you need. Not extreamly loud. March 25, 2013
