Yoshimura R-77 Slip-On Exhaust Kawasaki Ninja 300

The R-77 is a perfect match for the Ninja 300. Its styling and internal dynamics complement this new bike exceptionally well. Not only does the R-77 enhance the aggressive styling, it provides an ample boost in horsepower and torque from mid-to-peak RPMs, just where you need it.

Improving styling and performance was not our only goal. The R-77 also reduced weight over the stock muffler, resulting in better handling, weight distribution, and fuel economy. Tearing up track has never been so much fun.

Slip-On includes R-77 muffler, stainless steel tail-pipe, low-volume insert, installation hardware, and detailed step-by-by instructions.

NOTE: This exhaust is CARB compliant. Please check local laws before purchasing. Some modifications may be prohibited in some states.

You get exactly what you expect A mile above the stock exhaust in design, and man, you WILL be heard. It is outrageously loud without baffle. It is still pretty loud with baffle on. It is so loud it I can still hear it very clearly through winds traveling at 70mph with ear plugs on. It has an amazing throaty sound. Pops quite a bit when you roll off too. August 3, 2014
Carbon Fiber Yohsi Exhuast Just installed my carbon fiber yoshi exhaust this last weekend and it sounds amazing! I opted to go with the silencer installed which did dampen the sound a lot and took aware from that extra aggressive sound but I live in CA and didn't want too much attention. That said, I am very pleased and excited! Installation: This is my first bike and first mod I have ever done and it took me 15 minutes to install. Very easy to do. Side note: It took a couple days to get to me from Revzilla. That was a very fast turnaround time! I included a before and after for your viewing pleasure. June 3, 2014
great looks and sound This exhaust sounds and looks so much better than the stock exhaust. Definitely louder. It has a nice warm rumble when idling and sounds mean during acceleration at any speed. Cruising at a constant speed above 5k rpm, I hear more of the familiar stock engine sound than the new exhaust. Maybe it sounds different to a bystander but I don't notice a significant difference in the bike's sound in these riding conditions. In deceleration or engine braking the exhaust is nice and loud. Sometimes I get some minor backfiring in decel, I think it sounds cool though. I don't have a PC, tune, or any other mods. The install was pretty easy. I uninstalled the stock exhaust and installed the carbon fiber slip-on in under an hour. I didn't install the included baffle and I don't think I will. Love this Yoshi pipe! June 2, 2014
Great Slip-On Love my Yoshi. Definitely an improvement in sound over the stock exhaust. May 26, 2014
Worth every dollar Was debating in getting this slip on for awhile. So happy I decided to buy. The yoshi made my bike noticeably lighter and it sounds amazing! My bike actually sounds like a real street bike now May 26, 2014
Looks and sounds great! Much nicer than the stock exhaust muffler, it no longer sounds like a scooter ;) Swapping the muffler over is very easy, just search on YouTube for a video tutorial of how to change it and it is an extremely simple swap. I have the silver with Carbon tip and it looks excellent on my white 2013 Ninja 300. No complaints, very happy! May 12, 2014
amazing is sounds great. Has fast shipping. only took 20 minutes to put on. May 8, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Kevin N: It came with everything needed to mount in ninja 300. I'm not sure which aluminum bracket you are referring to. The only OEM part you need to use is the nut that holds the stick exhaust onto the bike. Aug 14, 2013

Mark J: Comes with everything you need. If you don't want to run rear passenger pegs you will need the yoshi after market bracket. Save yourself a few more pounds by removing them. Aug 12, 2013

A shopper asked: What's the difference between SS and Carbon fiber? Aug 11, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Larry H: The SS(stainless steel is shiny, almost chrome looking). The carbon fiber is the traditional carbon fiber look (nice) and is lighter in weight than the SS. The carbon fiber is a little bit higher in price, perhaps 15 to 20% more. Both styles look nice and sound terrific. You might need to use the provided insert to drop a few decibels if you feel it is to loud. Aug 14, 2013

Richard V: The SS stands for Stainless Steel. The Carbon Fiber is dark gray with the standard carbon fiber design. I chose the carbon fiber and couldn't be happier. The noise damper makes the exhaust quieter than the stock pipe. But if you take out the damper, it has a deep hearty sound which sounds amazing. Aug 12, 2013

Jimmie W: It's just the look i like the carbon fiber because I plan on adding more things that has the carbon fiber look. The one thing I don't like is that one person tip looked bad after some years Aug 13, 2013

Brian D: I believe the only difference is price and appearance. I got the pipe that is stainless steel with carbon fiber tip. Was 100 cheaper and I think it looks great! Hope this helps. Aug 12, 2013

It took me just 30 min to install it, its really easy, i am very happy, when i started the bike i could not believe the sound it makes, i was surprised that a ninja 300 could sound like that with the yoshi exhaust! it is a great invesment , do it , you will not regret it i promise that!

A shopper asked: I live in California. If I buy it is it legal to put it on? May 27, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
John R: Wes is incorrect. It's legal in CA to put a slip-on exhaust on your bike as long as it's CARB certified, which this one is. Only full exhaust systems are illegal (but like Wes mentioned, we don't have to get our bikes smogged so you're unlikely to get a fix-it ticket for having one). Jun 29, 2014
Reply to John Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
wes s: No, it is unlawful to modify your exhaust in California. The factory exhaust has the catalytic converter built into the muffler and replacing it will violate California emissions law. That being said you are not required to smog motorcycles in California ;) May 27, 2014
Reply to wes Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
John T: Yes it is CA legal. On yoshi's website it lists this exhaust as state compliant as it has a catalytic converter built in. Jun 25, 2014

A shopper asked: Your menu only lists two materials. I'm interested in the stainless/carbon fiber tip slip-on. Which material selected on menu will address this item? May 19, 2014

Shawn M: Choosing stainless steel will get you the stainless steel slip on with CF tip. That's the one I purchased and it looks just like the photos up above. May 19, 2014

Jacobo G: Stainless steel option includes the carbon fiber tip. I got that one and i looks and sounds absolutely amazing! May 19, 2014

A shopper asked: I get a different answer from everyone, but does a Slip-on require tuning? Also, I've heard riiding without the baffle will cause damage in the long run. True? Apr 11, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
John R: It's not required, but it would be better if you did get it tuned (pcv has maps for this slip-on). The 300 already runs lean from the factory to meet emissions standards, and even if this slip-on only leans it out a TINY bit, it's just going to make it even worse. If you get a slip-on and an aftermarket filter, I'd definitely think about getting it tuned so you don't lean out the air/fuel mixture too much, and without the tune you're gonna miss out on the 1-2hp gain this mod can give you. Jun 29, 2014
Reply to John Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Melissa R: In my research I learned it doesn't require tuning, only if you get a full system. Just remove the original and "slip" the new one on. But before you do add the baffle in, it's plenty loud with it in. You won't regret buying, it sounds and it looks great. Apr 21, 2014
Reply to Melissa Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
James M: NO, you will not require a tune for a slip-on. The gains are minimal and are mostly due to the weight loss. Apr 11, 2014

A shopper asked: How much of a difference in performance does this product provide? Apr 26, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Shawn M: I don't have a dyno sheet to prove it, but I would say little to no performance gain. The slip-on will provide a better sound, weight reduction (which does help performance), and a better look. If you are after performance, you will need a full exhaust and tune. May 19, 2014
