The popular R-77 offers outstanding performance, thanks to being developed in the heat of competition. It features a trapezoidal design, which allows a large volume of packing material and in turn delivers top performance. The R-77 muffler’s front cap is MIG-welded, while the end cap is riveted using high-end 304-L polished stainless steel rivets and bands.

Way louder than stock & quiet core baffle doesn't help much.
The fit & finish is excellent. Installed easily. Wiped it down with alcohol, then started motor. Man was it loud, so I installed the quiet core baffle. It was also very loud. Had I known it would be this loud I probably would not have bought it. It is an improvement in weight reduction and size. Much better looking too.

Looks great sounds great
CBR300 is the best sounding single after adding this muffler. A quiet growl at low RPMs and screams at 10,500 rpm. Will not fit the CBR250 without modification, the CBR300 head pipe is longer.

It ain't a bad purchase
Fast shipping, easy to install, looks great, wayyyy lighter then the orginal one. Only downside is it kinda makes your bike sound like a dirt bike with really high compression(but then again it is 300cc). But I've learned to kinda love it in a way haha I recommend it.

a worthwhile aftermarket choice
I wasn't expecting any big hp gains, just wanted to ditch the heavy stock exhaust. Fit and finish are good and installation was a breeze. There was one curveball though. Yosh recommends drilling a small hole in the stock header to insert a supplied metal "bolt" that fits under the hose clamp to keep the can from rotating after everything is bolted together. It was a bit loud for my liking so I installed the supplied "silencer". It still has plenty of grunt, just not quite as tinny. Note: to install the silencer pull off the rubber bung on the exhaust tip to access the screw hole, insert the silencer, add a little lock-tight and screw together. Be careful when pushing back the rubber bung, mine pushed all of the way through. Thankfully the folks at Yosh sent me a new one along with a keychain. To sum it up, good fit and finish, easy to install, maybe gained a horse or two, but the biggest plus is the wight saving. You might be surprised at how heavy the stock can is.

Wesley B V:Yes! The exhaust system is the same and will work. The 300's are the same frame and motor as the 250. Except the 300 has a reworked engine head and a new programed fuel module with new transmission gear ratios to take advantage of the 17% more horsepower. ( And it is FASTER )
Wesley B V:The muffler is little less than 1/2 the weight of the factory muffler. Approximately 5.3 lbs. If your going to DYNO TUNE your bike with this muffle you need to have the full system and not the Slip On. Also you will need a different fuel module to be programed to get the performance out of the system which would be noticeable. This slip on by itself has some minimal increase when graphed only, Not When Riding. The R77 Slip On looks good and sounds greats, not to mention the easy install.
