Yoshimura Frame Sliders Honda CB500F / CB500X 2013-2014
Fits good, looks great, hope to never fully test them.
Yoshimura always makes high quality parts and these sliders, while pretty simple items, are very well made. They look great and fit great as well - with super easy installation. Hoping to never test their effectiveness for the intended purpose.

No-brainer accessory that's already saved my new bike
I got my first motorcycle two days ago, a CB500X, and immediately installed these sliders. I had managed to get through my MSF course without tipping, but sure enough I stalled my new Honda the first time taking it out and fell over on the left side.
Looking under the bike while it was on its side, I saw that only the tires, footpeg (which folded away) and Yoshimura frame slider were touching the ground. Upon righting the bike, there was no damage whatsoever, aside from the tip of the slider being a bit chewed up, and the shifter being a bit bent (which was easily fixed with a little muscle). Who knows how many embarrassing dollars I saved by slapping on these simple parts before setting off on my new horse? They look pretty decent too. Installation was a piece of cake, although I'd recommend using a center stand to do it.
This cheap, easy accessory has already done its job, and I have no doubt it will do it again the next time I screw up.

Does the job with style
I'm very pleased with this product. I let my dad get on my brand new CB500F for nostalgias sake. Unfortunately, he lost control while traveling at just a couple of miles an hour and the bike went down hard. There are a couple of scratches on both dad and bike, but nothing too bad (though wounded pride may still be an issue). These frame sliders easily saved me hundreds of dollars in repairs and they don't have a scratch on them. Over all, a very durable product that blends into the bike well. I should note that I threw some thread locker during the install for good measure. The scratches on the muffler buffed right out. No one would know it was dropped unless they were really looking for it.

Great product. Super quick shipping. Easy install.
Product was delivered to the door in a super quick manner. Install took just a few minutes per the instructions. Item looks great on the bike.

Held up in low speed accident
Purchased this slider kit as my mounted-on-bike insurance for my new Honda CB500F. Good thing, someone pulled a left U-turn right in front of me and although I scrubbed a lot of speed, I still smacked into his passenger side at an oblique angle near his front wheel. The slider took most of the brunt of impact, saved my lower left leg from impact, and kept damage to a cosmetic level on the bike. Good on you, Yoshimura. Only gripe is that you're supposed to use a torque wrench to assemble, which was annoying to have to purchase, but probably good to have around long-term.

These frames look good but haven't dropped the bike yet to know how well they work.
Well made, super easy to install. Took me ten minutes. They make sense and look like a factory option.

I hope I never have to use these but if I do, I feel comfortable with how they would perform. They are very solid and I know they would save a lot of damage should they ever be needed.

Great purchase to ease a new riders' mind
Really happy with how these framesliders went onto my 2013 CB500F.
As previously mentioned, they took about 15 minutes to install. The hardest part was getting the engine mounting bolt off in the first place, which I eventually succeeded in doing with my foot on the socket wrench. You need a 14mm socket wrench and a 8mm allen key. I don't have a torque gun so I went to my local motorcycle dealer afterward to properly torque them to spec (no charge).
Note that in the instructions, it says "remove the right side engine mounting bolt... and install the left side chassis protector". This is incorrect; if you remove the right side engine mounting bolt, you then install the right side chassis protector. I really think Revzilla has the best price on these versus any local dealers. They came very quickly to me in Canada.. about 5 business days.
I foresee awesome bang for the buck if they are ever put to use, for your own safety (holding the bike up off your leg), and protection of the bike (fairing, exhaust, engine).
