Woodcraft Stator Cover Protector BMW S1000RR / S1000R / S1000XR

Woodcraft 2-piece engine covers are designed to keep your bike oil tight in the event of a crash as well as to give your bike a custom look that will make you stand out in the crowd. All of our covers are 100% CNC machined from 6061 Aluminum billet to give you both great looks and exceptional strength.

The patented replaceable skid plate adds wear resistance in the most vulnerable area and can keep your cover both functional and looking good through multiple crashes. The plate is internally bolted and o-ring sealed so that you don't have to worry about trying to remove bolts with the heads ground off.

Note: This is an engine cover protector. This cover bolts over the top of the clutch cover and protects it in its most vulnerable area.

Note: Cover is black with the option of a colored skid plate.

A shopper asked: I did not get any O-Rings with this stator cover for my 2014 BMW S1000RR. Does this not need O-Rings fro the internal bolts? Also, what compound do I need to use to lock tight the internal bolts? Thank you. May 19, 2014

ramin e: I have a similar case cover for my CBR600RR race bike's clutch cover. This cover goes over the original case cover, and you only have to remove 4 of the original cover’s screws, place this cover over your stock cover and then put slightly longer screws (should be provided already by Woodcraft) to compensate for the added thickness to put the new cover on. No o-rings are needed in this case, since the shield plate screws are not holding back any oil. I did also replace my magneto case cover on my bike, which the shield plate is held with two screws from the inside of the cover, where it will be in contact with engine oil, and so o-rings were needed and were provided by Woodcraft.
You can use medium strength (blue) Loctite to fix the screws of the shield plate. 242, 243 Blue: Classic medium strength threadlocker for most of threadlocking applications.
