Christopher A asked: Does the rivet (vs clip) kit include any sort of backing plate or would I essentially be riveting the spring directly onto the bodywork? There is no backing plate pictured in the photo, so I wanted to ask. Thanks! Mar 24, 2015

Matthew E: This style does not rivet to the bodywork. It has a slot which is a firm fit when you push it on to the edge of your fiberglass panels. You put only one drill hole through the fiberglass where the pin has to pass through and engage the back portion.

I like them better than the rivet on style.

Chris P: Pictured is the clip on fasteners, that's why you don't see anything else. These are my preferred option as they are super easy to replace in a hurry. As far as the rivet version I'm not 100% sure but I do believe it's just riveting them into the bodywork. Hope this helps Mar 25, 2015
