Great bag for trail essentials
I use this bag on the tail of my 2014 KTM 500 XC-W and ride primarily in NM and Southern CO. I drilled through the plastic and the straps hold it firmly in place. I loaded it down with several wrenches, tire spoons and other trailside fix essentials. I transfer it over to my backpack or on the tail of my KTM 990 Adventure when I switch rides. The fabric is durable and even thought it will get dirty, a few spashes or rain showers usually takes the dust and dirt off it again. Zippers are high quality and do not seem to show any wear even after admittedly overloading the bag and using it on several back to back days riding single and two track.
I've had a couple of get offs on the bike in single track areas and the bag stays well attached and the mounting areas seem sturdy and have not weakened. I included pics to show the mounting area on the tail section of my bike along as well as a pic of it opened up with the tape measure for handy reference.
Bottom line - This is a definite must have for those that like to pack light yet still have a good selection of tools to get back home.

Could be a bit longer
This is a nice bag and the mounting could be pretty versatile. It is not as large as I was expecting, which could be a good thing, but I would prefer it to be a little longer. This bag combined with a front fender bag is enough to carry the essential tools and a spare tube for each wheel. I used the two stock holes on the DRZ400S and only had to drill two holes, so that worked out nicely.

The bag is very good.
The straps are the weak point. I replaced the straps with thicker straps that don't slip. The original straps are to slicker and thinker. But I love the tool bag.

Super product , good price
This is a somewhat expensive pack but it is worth the money for any offroad or adventure rider, It has plenty of room to carry all the tools you need to fix a bike on the trail and even spare tubes but also compacts down to almost nothing when its lightly packed. I would recommend it for anything from a day ride to a trip to Alaska
