Great purchase and a great new sound I bought this because the air box that comes stock on the Yamaha Bolt is too big and caused me to ride splayed out. This new intake lets me hug the bike a little more and sit in a more comfortable riding position. Not to mention that the new sound and throttle reaction that's produced is great. Will definitely be trying other Vance & Hines products in the future. November 9, 2015
All around great product easy install and great performance!!!! Awesome product easy install great performance!!!! September 28, 2015
Performance product when paired. Allows my 2015 Yamaha Bolt to sound and perform great when it is paired with the Vance and Hines twin slash exhaust plus fuelpac. September 15, 2015
Reasonably priced upgrade The performance of the product itself can't really be criticized. It's one of the cheaper kits out the to open up the intake. As far as the installation goes, a couple points. I thought the venturi could have been machined a little more accurately. When you place it on the bike, there is a little play. Maybe that's to allow for some differences from bike to bike. When you screw it in though the holes don't quite line up. You have to fiddle with it to get all the threads to catch. At first it appeared that it wasn't going to pull it in flush. Which brings me to the bolts. One of them was too short. One of the three bolts needs to be considerably longer. This required me to make a trip to the local hardware store. I have heard of others having the same issue. Maybe some quality control issues u at V&H. Functionally I am very happy. You can really hear the air getting sucked in to this thing. This, combined with a reflash of the ECU has given a noticeable increase in performance. July 27, 2015
Great air filter! Good fit and build. All of the parts are clean and looks well made. Took less than 10 mins to install. Love the clean and simple look. U can hear this thing suck in air while riding. Installed with a v&h fuelpak and cobra slip on exhaust. Bike runs great so far after a few tweaks of the settings. March 30, 2015
looks awesome and makes a really cool induction sound I love the look it gives to my Bolt. Even at an idle, you can hear the air being sucked into the engine. When giving it throttle, it gets even louder and sounds so cool. The shipping was super fast and free. The install was very easy and knocked it out with some basic hand tools in about 15 minutes. I use this air intake with a fuelpak and a slip on exhaust. It is the perfect combination for any bike enthusiasts. March 7, 2015
Love the look and performance gains. This air cleaner for the bolt really changes the look of the bike. It removes the horrifically ugly plastic air cleaner box and adds the raw look of an open air filter concept. I have mine paired with the Fuel Controller and Competition Slip-on exhaust set up both from V&H. The trio is a great bang for the buck. The performance gains are noticeable in the lower and higher rpm ranges. The sound the air cleaner gives when under a heavy load is throaty and aggressive. I recommend this to anyone looking to add some upgrades and change the overall aesthetics of the bolt in itself. Note: The air cleaner does not come with a center plug and it will have to be provided by the end user if it is not used in conjunction with the V&H Skull Cap. March 2, 2015
Great Performance The Naked cleans up the lines on the Bolt and adds performance. With the increased air flow you will need to add a fuel pak. October 13, 2014

A shopper asked: Do you need a fuel controller if you only install the Air Intake Kit and keep the stock exhaust? Nov 4, 2014

Howard W: I would definitely go for the fuel controller. I have a V&H Vo2 intake on my 2014 Bolt, along with a Baron's 4" pipe with baffles. I installed a Cobra fuel controller also. It couldn't be any better.Great sound and great low speed smoothness in traffic.Any time you upgrade either intake or exhaust a fuel controller is your best bet.

Sean G: I'm sure it's recommended that you use one because you are changing the amount of air flow. To be honest, I would put it on and see how the bike runs before spending the money on a fuel controller. Side note, the skull cap is a must! It doesn't look good (in my opinion) without it. William D: I believe you do. I did the vance and hines fuel pack intake and twin slash exhaust system at the same time. The fuel pack is great because you can change maps with the more toys you get for the bolt Nov 4, 2014

Paul C: I have had k&n on most other vehicles that is a lot like Vance & Hines filter. With this type of filter they generally say a dirty filter isn't a bad thing to some point. believe you can order from Vance and Hines. You may be able to use k&n recharger kit. You may want to check though. Apr 5, 2015

Howard W: Too soon to tell, Jerry. I only have about 3,000 mi, on it. Absolutely love the look and sound of the Vo2 as well as a noticeable performance gain. Check with V&H tech support. They are very good about answering customer questions. All the best, Howie West. Mar 16, 2015
