Should be included!
The Urban Brawlers are a cool exhaust slip-on idea for the Z1000. I still feel that they're a little small, but they look good on the bike, but do need these sound inserts, in my opinion. Generally when I have bought exhaust for other bikes, a sound insert is included. V&H should included these standard with the Brawlers. They need them. It really didn't sound quite right without them, and I did feel that by adding the inserts, the performance actually returned as it should as well. I think just open pipes of this kind made things a little...weird...without the inserts. This is the only slip-on or full exhaust I've felt that way about, too. I'm glad they make them, at any rate, so thumbs up! They deepened the sound, and made the Brawlers sound really gooood!

Still a little loud but deeper sound. Sounds good though.
Easy to install. It's a tight fit if you don't oil it up. I Recommend putting some oil for a no hassle installation. Make sure the holes for the screw are aligned, once in place in the exhaust, it is hard to take back out. Another recommendation is to heat up the exhaust before installing.

waste of money. Barely notice any difference on the exhaust sound
You barely notice any difference on the exhaust sound. If I knew that I wouldn't waste my money

Brawlers are cool looking, but yes, they are too loud. These should come standard as an option with these pipes, and I did expect a bit more from V&H.

How good are the inserts?, on the website it says 3-5 db. Is it worth buying. Without there just way to lpud for public use.

BEST ANSWER: They are still loud with the inserts but its s different kind of load. It is more tolerable and only gets obsessive during wot. Plus if you don't plan on custom fuel mapping the inserts will produce enough back pressure to not be running too lean otherwise you'll definitely need to.
i bought a Vance & Hines CS One Urban Brawler for my 2015 Kawasaki ZX10R. My question is... do these inserts work for any type of CS One Urban Brawler? Z1000 or ZX10R?
Charles Gabriel C on Jan 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have them On my Z1000 (2012) They don't actually make a difference. The Vance & Hines are loud pipes especially with headers. Not sure about standard headers with Vance & Hines pipes they may make a difference. Hope this helps.

Regards
Is this price for one insert or a full set of four inserts for the CS One Urban Brawler exhaust?
A shopper on Nov 5, 2013
BEST ANSWER: four inserts will come with the kit.

dont expect the silencers to reduce the noise levels its still loud and awesome....

regards
will these fit a set of Vance & Hines CS One's installed on a 2012 Yamaha FJR1300?
