waste of money. Barely notice any difference on the exhaust sound You barely notice any difference on the exhaust sound. If I knew that I wouldn't waste my money November 1, 2015
Should be included! The Urban Brawlers are a cool exhaust slip-on idea for the Z1000. I still feel that they're a little small, but they look good on the bike, but do need these sound inserts, in my opinion. Generally when I have bought exhaust for other bikes, a sound insert is included. V&H should included these standard with the Brawlers. They need them. It really didn't sound quite right without them, and I did feel that by adding the inserts, the performance actually returned as it should as well. I think just open pipes of this kind made things a little...weird...without the inserts. This is the only slip-on or full exhaust I've felt that way about, too. I'm glad they make them, at any rate, so thumbs up! They deepened the sound, and made the Brawlers sound really gooood! January 25, 2015
Still a little loud but deeper sound. Sounds good though. Easy to install. It's a tight fit if you don't oil it up. I Recommend putting some oil for a no hassle installation. Make sure the holes for the screw are aligned, once in place in the exhaust, it is hard to take back out. Another recommendation is to heat up the exhaust before installing. July 28, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
T R: Brawlers are cool looking, but yes, they are too loud. These should come standard as an option with these pipes, and I did expect a bit more from V&H. Jan 6, 2015

Steve L: They are still loud with the inserts but its s different kind of load. It is more tolerable and only gets obsessive during wot. Plus if you don't plan on custom fuel mapping the inserts will produce enough back pressure to not be running too lean otherwise you'll definitely need to. Jan 18, 2014

Paul G: They really make no difference the big is still loud. I changed my gearing 39 tooth rear sprocket to rev less and computer to smooths out engine. This does a better job of whitening the bike. I've been past many police and they are happy! Regards Jan 18, 2014

Jon G: I liked the way the inserts quieted the urban brawlers down, I think the sound is just right. the brawlers are to loud for street use without the inserts, in my opinion. Good luck! Jan 19, 2014

Charles Gabriel C asked: i bought a Vance & Hines CS One Urban Brawler for my 2015 Kawasaki ZX10R. My question is... do these inserts work for any type of CS One Urban Brawler? Z1000 or ZX10R? Jan 11, 2015

Paul G: I have them On my Z1000 (2012) They don't actually make a difference. The Vance & Hines are loud pipes especially with headers. Not sure about standard headers with Vance & Hines pipes they may make a difference. Hope this helps.
