WOW! Nice Pipes! I was a little worried to order these, I didn't want it to have a hollow fake sound. Lets be honest we may not want a Harley for many reasons or just cant afford one. But we all love the V-Twin sound... After installing the pipes I turned on the key put my finger on the start button and with a slight hesitation with worry of how do I explain to Revzilla I need to return these... I hit the button and immediately brought a smile to my face! nice solid sound, not a Harley, but a nice tone. July 3, 2014
? Two different fuel controllers and Two different Dyno Runs and the bike still pops and backfires. So until someone that's really on the ball that can figure out this Yamaha Bolt, I would not recommend this product just yet ! Can't afford to sink any more money in this project and will be going back to the stock exhaust. Its not quite fair to the Vance & Hines Co for me to give this product a poor rating, but I don't no what else to do at this time. June 25, 2014
best sound !!! best sound and performance nice looking in matte black color March 13, 2014
Perfect deep muscle sound for my Bolt R-spec Ordered these pipes around 11AM and got them about the same time the next day! (I live close enough to the warehouse to get overnight ground shipping.) I could not be happier about the sound and quality Vance and Hines added to my Bolt. My friends keep their Bolts in my garage and you can barely hear theirs when mine is on now. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears you can really feel and hear the great tone out of these babies. I installed them myself and it took about 2 and a half hours. Pay attention to the instructions and watch the installation video Vance and Hines put out on YouTube and it should be a breeze. Didn't know the Bolts stock exhaust looked so lame until you put these on. I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants a nice deep throaty muscle tone and a much better aesthetic appeal. Get rid of your massive canister exhaust and get these Vance and Hines Twin Slash Staggered pipes! March 10, 2014
Nice Pipes Good quality pipes and easy to install. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine. You can also go on line and find a video that you can watch before you attempt to install. I also installed a Cobra air intake system and the Cobra Fi2000r fuel processor. Also ride Suzuki Boulevard and Yamaha Royal Star Venture. March 10, 2014
killer sound good look Don't watch the you tube videos for the sound . So much better in person. Great build, top notch fit and finish, and easy install. March 9, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Ralph E: Like the Vance & Hines product line Mar 23, 2014
John M: The stock exhaust is not very attractive and does not have a pleasant sound. I am not looking for loud exhaust, but I want it to sound deep and throaty. I have heard the pipes on Youtube, but it is impossible to know what they will really sound like. I hope they sound great. I am taking the chance because the pipes are beautiful and make the bike look they way it should, sleek and balanced. Mar 16, 2014
Chris F: My drag pipes sound good at idle but thats about it!
can't go wrong with Vance and Hinds

Larry G: I prefer the duel exhaust look over the 4" single tube and Vance & Hines are a reputable company. Only regret would be I lose the perforated heat shield which gives the Bolt a distinct bold look. Feb 15, 2014
A shopper asked: Is a fuel controller needed with this system? Can I bolt this system on my stock bike and not have to do anything to the fuel or air systems? May 19, 2014

John H: Yes for proper fuel air mixture you need a "fuel controller". I bought mine with the exhaust and did not try it or would I try it without. May 21, 2014

John S: This system does require a power commander. Vance and Hines makes a fuel pack for around $250 I believe. May 21, 2014

A shopper asked: Is there much involved in the install. Can I do it myself? Mar 7, 2014

Larry G: One of the main things is disconnect the O2 sensor before removing the old exhaust. There are video's that will show you step by step. A good one you can find on Low and Mean's web site. Pretty basic stuff just take your time and be patient. My grandson wanted to help so I broke bolts loose and he removed them and it was nice to have a second pair of hand when installing the new pipes. Takes about 1 1/2 hrs. from start to finish. I also installed the Cobra intake system and the Cobra Fi2000r fuel processor. The fuel processor was a challenge so if you're not real mechanically inclined you might want to take that one to a shop but you should be able to install the pipes yourself. Mar 7, 2014

Chris F asked: can you remove the baffle? Feb 22, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Larry G: I'm not sure but there are screws toward the end of the pipes so I'm thinking you can but why would you as these pipes are pretty loud. Mar 7, 2014

Thanks
