Why bother spending more, these work great !
Super easy to install , retains the old school look , and even improves it. Adds ground clearance vrs stock. NO MESSING WITH OXY SENSORS. VERY LOUD ! Gives you a "real" Harley sound. Baffles would be great if you are worried it being too loud. My 2014 Fourty-Eight runs great , and sounds even better with these on. About 20 min install on a new bike.

Had them in 2 days, very fast for free shipping! Took about 1.5 hours to install, but I do not read instructions. These slip on's took my 2014 Sportster Super Low XL1200T from sounding like a cracked out Honda to a REAL Harley! Best advice on install, Get them to where you want them before tightening them up and WD-40 is your best friend on taking off the stock and installing the THUNDER! NO VIDEO WILL DO THE THUNDER JUSTICE! Money well SPENT!

Excellent product but with reservation
These are excellent slip on mufflers and are very easy to install. When I installed the new mufflers I started up my 2014 Sportster and was surprised as to how loud they were, actually I did not think they would be so loud. My recommendation is to purchase the Quiet Baffles at the same time you order the mufflers or for Vance and Hines to sell with the Quiet Baffles installed and if you want it louder you can purchase the louder baffles. With the Baffles that come with the Straightshots it is like you have no baffles in the mufflers at all.

Easy to install high quality chrome great sound
Received the parts in two days. I put the pipes on immediately.
It was so easy I barely looked at the directions. The pipes have a nice clean look. And they give my Harley the exhaust note
It should have. Not to loud but just wright. It no longer sounds
Like a sewing machine.

Grade A+ quality and an affordable Slip-ons
After months of searching for an affordable slip-ons for my 2014 HD48, I finally found this badboys. The install was so easy considering that its my first time working on a motorcycle. It took me about 45-1hr to install the slip-ons and that is with breaks on the side. The only thing is I had to go to home depot to get hose clamps cause the one from the OEM heatshields are too big and the V&H site says to reuse the OEM ones. Not a big deal really. I ordered the Exhaust monday and it was in my front door tuesday PM. Revzilla is awesome and the shipping was superfast. Now im just waiting for my gringo helmet that I ordered the same day.
PS: The youtube videos for this product doesn't give the exhaust sound real justice.

Night and Day from Stock Pipes
I spent the first six months of owning my new 48 researching pipes. I struggled with spending $500+ on a new set of full pipes. Well, to tell the truth, like many of you, I'm sure, I struggled with the wife on spending $500+ on a new set of pipes. Anyway, I debated black pipes b/c they make the bike look meaner, but a lot of folks have told me that black pipes discolor a lot, and I’ve seen it on other bikes. Also, I like the looks of the stock pipes, so I finally decided to stick with chrome.
At some point during my hours of google image and youtube searches, I stumbled across these V&H slip ons and never turned back. They retain the look of the stock pipes, but give a sleeker, mean look, and the sound is AWESOME! What they say about youtube vids is true: the sound on the vids doesn't do the pipes justice. If you think they sound good one a vid, then they will sound great in person.
I got a lot of spit and sputter until I tuned the bike, but once I got it dialed in, I am completely satisfied. Oh, and they're way easy to install. The V&H instructions make it look difficult, but once you get your hands on the hardware, it's easy. Took me about an hour, and I took my time.
Bottom line, if you’re on the fence about slip ons, don’t be. These V&H pipes are awesome. They’re easy to install, they look great, and they sound amazing. Go for it!

Now she sounds like a Harley!
Bought these slip-ons to replace the ones from the factory for my 2014 Iron 883. Unbelievable difference! I also purchased the "quiet" baffles. Even with those installed, my Iron roars like she is supposed to. I can't stress enough, these are properly loud. Not obnoxiously loud, but perfectly loud. I can't imagine the noise these things would make without the quiet baffles.
Installation was really easy.
Revzilla shipped super fast, as always.
For $269...these need to be the first things you purchase. Can't beat the value on these.
