Good product That reduce a little bit the noise but not enough if you don't want to loose your ears. September 16, 2014
Buffle worth it's price Installed on my 2013 Harley Iron XL883N with Staggered Short Shots. Of course it didn't make a wonder - everyone around know when you are passing by, but exaust sound became softer, with Harley's recognizable bobbing. It's really worth it's price (if you still don't care of people around :D ). September 16, 2014
Good deep sound Made the V&H Short Shots tolerable. The stock baffles where overly loud and had an annoying snap. These gave my little 883 a good deep note, and eliminated the snap and drone while at speed. Still lets everyone around you know you are there. August 12, 2014
A must-have addition to Shortshots While these baffles don't make a huge difference in the volume of the pipes, they do reduce the volume to a "neighborly" level. Also, they make a great change to the tone of the exhaust note. Bottom line the pipes sound much better with these baffles than with the stock baffles. Also, add my name to the list of those who think these baffles help performance wise as well by adding some much needed back pressure to these short pipes. Also, make sure you buy 2. August 6, 2014
Don't worry, Short-Shots are still PLENTY loud! =) My application is a Honda Shadow VT750C2B (phantom) with Ceramic black short-shots. These should be considered for default baffles. Sound is greatly improved, as is back pressure\idle. (the latter is unscientific, but the bike backfirefarts significantly less now) If you can turn a wrench and own a screwdriver, Installation is a snap. July 14, 2014
Perfect reduction in noise level. These are a great option if you are looking for a little less out of your Vance and Hines pipes. They took my short shots from a ridiculously loud volume to something that was a perfect tone/volume for me. The pipes are still loud but not over-the-top obnoxious and I get to keep my hearing. take it down a notch I have short shots on a 2011 nightster. I didn't notice a big decrease in volume, but a nice downtick in harshness. the tone at idle is much deeper and throatier too. I didn't notice a decrease in performance either. pretty easy to install once you get the heat shields off. July 15, 2013
Not so quiet baffles Easy to install, It´s not as quiet as I expected but it gives a more pleasant sound, I still have to use ear plugs. June 24, 2013

C P: My V&H Short Shots were Awesomely loud on my Harley Sportster 1200. A bit too loud, in fact. :) I put in these quiet baffles and I thought they quieted the sound a bit too much. I pulled them back out and removed one layer of the fiberglass wrap and now they are just right. Excellent sound. Oct 11, 2013

Jesse G: No you have to set the quantity to two. I got them for my pipes and they do tone the pipes down a bit but they are still loud. I'm sure you will like them. Gives the bike a really nice tune with out all the loud mess. May 26, 2014

A shopper asked: I bought a Kawasaki Mean Streak with Vance and Hines pipes with no baffles and I want to add quite baffles to it but I don't know what model of V and H I have? The inside diameter of my pipes is 2 inches, will these baffles work for me?? Feb 27, 2014

chuck s h: it is hard to answer the baffle question. you need to read the specs on the baffle and it should say fits 13/4 inch or 2 inch pipes, most vance and Hines i have looked at are 13/4 inch inside diameter. are you shure you are measuring the inside of the pipe and not including the heat shield? (and that is not a stupid question)

Eddie B: I have put quiet baffles on my 2013 Harley Davidson Iron 883. The Vance and Hines shortstacks are not as loud and have a deeper note which has alleviated the problem of sore ears. But still loud enough for ignoramous car drivers to hear me. Feb 27, 2014

A shopper asked: Is the O.D. of these baffles (@the wide/sealing band) 2 inches ? Apr 27, 2014

Nick R: I called Vance and Hines about the big shot and short shot quiet baffles. The gentleman told me that the big shot baffles are 2" OD x 10.5", and the short shot baffles are 1 7/8" OD x 10". Although, when looking at a picture of the two side by side, the short shot looks a bit shorter than 10". I'm going to order the short shot quiet baffles and build an exhaust around them, using my stock 99 Honda shadow vt750cd exhaust to modify. I hopes this helps. I would still double check with Vance and Hines. Jul 21, 2014
