All around great product
This exhaust is exactly the quality, look and sound I was looking for, and at a great price. They are even louder than I was expecting, which is great to me. Keep in mind that the bike will run lean after installing these pipes, so a tuner should be added to make the bike run properly again. I give two thumbs up, and suggest it to anyone considering this exhaust.

Vance and Hines Short Shots
Upon receiving my order everything looked good! I put my short shots on my bike and noticed something looked different but thought maybe this is how it is suppose to look. I rode it over to a friends a few days later and he said it is wrong. I called Revzilla up and told them what was going on and they quickly changed it out. I recommend revzilla to anyone and everyone!
Oh yeah and I love the short shots on my v star 650!

Easy to install. They sound beastly and look fantastic. My V-Star now sounds like a Harley.

I wanted the Vance and Hines Short Shot Exhaust mainly because the look so great. They are a little loud for my taste but they sound a lot better than the factory exhaust. Overall I would recommend the exhaust to all.

vincent k:Hi, In my past experience with Yamaha they keep model years pretty close and I dont see why you would have to make any mods to fit on any pipes made for the V stars 650/1100 as I have owned both ,however when it came to my 1100 custom I ran DG HARD CROME equalizers with my hyper charger set up and a dyno jet kit,,this bike was a screamer!
As with any exhaust swap outs or modification, always keep in mind, proper jetting is always important, you want the head pipes to turn a golden color, not blue,,to achieve This, i recomend a DYNO JET kit combined with a K and N air filter and before installation of pipes always paint the INSIDE of the head pipes ,this will help the pipes run cooler and always use paste wax on the entire system to prevent any fingerprints or oil burning into the chrome permanently before you fire it up.
I hope this is of help to ya! Ride Smooth! Jun 27, 2014
