Vance Hines Quiet Baffle For Competition Series 4 5 3 3
Effective Using this on a sportster and the noise levels are manageable. March 2, 2015
Effective, but not magic This will reduce the edge of the exahust. It will not cut the volume by half or anything, but it will take the high frequency edge off of a loud exhaust. I was barely able to think after getting off my bike after installing my Vance and Hines competition series slip-ons, it was far too loud. These made a noticable difference, but it was still very loud. I added a second set of different baffles and it is perfect now. 2009 Harley-Davidson V-Rod Muscle September 22, 2014
It's ok The decrease in the noisy exhauster is mild but does the job. September 8, 2014

Gregory S: The baffle doesn't really reduce the volume that much, but it takes the raspy, harsh note out of the exhaust, making the sound a bit less "offensive." I actually prefer the sound with the quiet baffle, but its certainly not quiet now. Jul 10, 2014

Matthew M: I recently installed these into a set of the V&H Competition Series Slip-Ons for the VRSCF. I would be more inclined to agree with Gregory's response. It does make them a little quieter, especially in the higher rev range. For my configuration they also helped to tame some of the really loud decel pop I was experiencing. So they may be providing some additional back pressure in the system as well. My wife tells me she cant hear me coming from quite as far down the street now :), so yeah, they still have some volume.
