Quiet Baffles are excellent!!
I ride a Vulcan 800 with straight shots, the previous owner removed the baffles that came with them. Let me tell you, OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD!!! I had to roll my bike to blocks from my house to go to work at 5 am otherwise car alarms would go berserk when I rode by. I put these baffles on and they did the job. They keep it down at idle, but I pull on the throttle and it sounds like a BEAST!! Just love them, installed in less than 10 mins. Revzilla is the only website with enough info on them. Deff recommend buying here.

This quiet baffle has a lower note than the stock baffle
This baffle has a lower note than the stock baffle, It is still loud but not too loud. I really like the sound of my bike with these baffles. the only thing that was a little missleading is the picture shows TWO baffles, but they are sold ONE each. Be sure to order TWO (2).

These baffles sound really perfect !
These Vance & HInes "Quiet Baffles" are easy to install once the chrome cover is removed from the exhaust itself (you just need to remove the plastic tape holding the fiber glass sheet, take off the sheet and re-wrap it around the core just tighter and then tape the sides of it real tight, then it gets it very easily).
The sound is exactly what I was looking for, a deep meaty rumble that is not obnoxious to the neighbors when you need to take off at 6 in the morning ! Now I am curious to see how long with this fiber glass "cloth" will last. It look flimsy to me and it might not be for someone like me who puts thousands of miles on the bike every year. We'll see and that's why I don't give 5 stars to the product.
As to RevZilla, their price for these V&H quiet baffles was the best I found and shipping was not just free but extremely fast ! What's not to like here ???

Exactly as described
The baffles are exactly as described and perform exactly as expected. They do just what you want them to do. They take just a bit of an edge off, just enough to make you a better neighbor and citizen. You get a great Harley sound without being obnoxious. I also want to give a quick comment on Revzilla. Excellent service. Quick shipping. Well packed.

Just what I needed!
I read a lot of reviews before buying the V&H Quiet Baffles. Installation was very straightforward and easy on Longshots on a Sporty 1200 Custom other than an unexpected removal of a bolt from my rear pipe hanger (necessary to slide the front baffle out/in), but that took only an extra minute. The baffles quieted the exhaust down perfectly. It's still loud but they definitely took the edge off and I'm sure they made my neighbors happy! A little loss of power off the line but not much at all, and they helped to tame the backfiring through the pipes that was happening before on deceleration. I definitely recommend them if you want to turn that sharp stock mechanical racket into a smoother, more mellow note. Definitely worth the investment!
