Vance Hines Quiet Baffle For Big Shots/Straightshots/Softail Duals Exhaust System
Read all reviews and alleged pitfalls of installation. It took me 20 minutes to install. Leave the tape on the wrap and use a popsicle stick to gently push any excess wrap in to the pipe end. Love the new low guttural tone of my bike. The treble metallic highs are gone. Someone should recommend this as an additional consideration at the time of purchase of the Straight Shot pipes. The sound is now music to my ears instead of an assault.

Not drastically quieter. Keeps great sound
Maintains great sound. 30 minute removal of the stock baffles (due to heatshields), but 10 minutes getting them in. No real effort or difficulties on the install

Sweet sounding '09 Classic
Did exactly what i wanted them to do. Took that hard edge off the sound of the pipes.
A little longer to install than 15 minutes due to having to remove heat shields, but slid right in with a a shot off WD40 in each pipe and a slight twisting motion.
Highly recommend and thanks to Revzilla for the great service.

Great Upgrade to the Stock Baffles
Quiets the pipes down enough to keep from setting off car alarms, but still loud enough to sound really good. Results in a deeper tone and helps eliminate some of the backfiring/popping inherent with these type of pipes. A pain to install once the pipes are on so buy them when you buy the pipes and swap them out before you have the pipes mounted.

Worth every cent Baffles
It took only 2 minutes to install on my Harley Deluxe V&H long shot pipes. Wrapped the fibreglass sheet around the baffle and set into place with a few small strips of sticky tape. Now my pipes have a rich deep sound once I removed the stock baffles for these. Took next to no time to get them here to me in Australia. I would deal with this company for any future needs.
If you seriously want a great sounding bike, these are the baffles for you.

Ordered these baffles for my V&H Bigshots and couldn't be more pleased. My pipes had no baffles and were obnoxiously loud, but these baffles took the edge off. My pipes are still loud but very acceptable. These baffles gave me just what I was looking for.

Did the trick
Like a lot of other people i found the straight shots to be to loud
for me. The quiet baffle does a good job of taking the harshness out of the exhaust tone and quieting the exhaust just enough. The install took me 10 minutes and was very easy,i will add that i have some mechanical ability.

Better sound now
This summer, I bought a used Honda VTX 1800C which had Big Shots installed. No baffles. The bike was LOUD, much too loud for my neighborhood when heading to work at 7AM. These baffles have 1> halved the volume at idle and low revs, 2> matured the exhaust note, and 3> seem to have had no affect on acceleration.
VERY difficult to install, or maybe it's only middlin' difficult, but the frustration factor is elevated, because it should be a really easy job but ain't. What worked for me was to wrap the whole baffle and fiber sheet in cellophane tape, then soak it down with WD-40. My exhaust stunk and smoked, but a quick freeway ride blew it all out and all's well that ends well.
