Vance Hines Quiet Baffle For Big Shots/ Straightshots/ Softail Duals Exhaust System
Solved my problems
Thanks, packed well, arrived quickly, was easy to install, solved my decel popping, and sounded fantastic, What else could I ask for!
That's why I buy Vance & Hines parts, and then get them from RevZilla!

Your Neighbors Will Love Them!
All in all, this product gets 3-Stars from me...
Don't be mistaken on quality however; they're top notch. Just not the sound/performance I was looking for....
Install was truly a pain in the neck, like most everyone has said. I'd recommend taping a bit of the fiberglass wrap yourself; it helps tremendously... Also, if you can, put these in your exhaust tubes BEFORE you install them on your bike.
(Only downside there is you'll never get to hear how good they sound prior to muffling the sound. These are the equivilanfpt of giving your bike a cold)
At first I liked these baffles; slightly quieter, and better sound at acceleration (took some of the high pitch out of it). After a while though, and riding with some friends, I noticed something lacking. The power was also affected...
After configuring my engine tuner for "quiet baffles", I got a LOT of pop on deceleration. It's running rich for sure, and I haven't been able to sort it out. My bike ran a lot cleaner before I put these on...
Don't take the 3-Stars too hard... This is a good product. It's just not for me. I'm probably going to switch back soon.

V&H Qiet Baffles Do The Job.
Vance & Hinze Quiet Baffles are not actually quiet, but they reduced the noise out of our V&H Long Shots by about a half, removed most of the backfire noise on throttle off, but left a great throaty (ear plug free) enjoyable riding sound.
And they were easy to fit, as long as you know how to use an Allen Key, took me about an hour to remove the old straight through baffles and fit both the new ones.

Big improvement for the neighborhood.
These were easy to install in my 2007 VTX1300. Removing the heat shields took some time, but the actually install of the baffles took about 10 minutes. The old baffles, surprisingly, slid right out. I bent a old coat hangar in half, forming a loop, which I was able to hook over the retaining nut welded into the old baffle. I did apply additional tape to the fiberglass cloth, thanks to all who offered that tip, and rotated the new baffle as I slid it in. This kept the fiberglass from bunching up. Be careful lining up the new baffle with the exterior pipe. I did manage to cross thread one of the screws, but happened to have a replacement on hand.

Better and easier than I hoped
Very simple to install. Tightening the wrap before install helps. At the very end of the part install, the bunching of the wrap was gently coaxed into the pipe using a popsicle stick.
Though the baffle only reduced the sound by one full decibel, it did take the treble metallic highs, and convert them to a hearty rumble. Now my neighbors don't even know when I leave in the morning.

Not drastically quieter. Keeps great sound
Maintains great sound. 30 minute removal of the stock baffles (due to heatshields), but 10 minutes getting them in. No real effort or difficulties on the install

Sweet sounding '09 Classic
Did exactly what i wanted them to do. Took that hard edge off the sound of the pipes.
A little longer to install than 15 minutes due to having to remove heat shields, but slid right in with a a shot off WD40 in each pipe and a slight twisting motion.
Highly recommend and thanks to Revzilla for the great service.

Great Upgrade to the Stock Baffles
Quiets the pipes down enough to keep from setting off car alarms, but still loud enough to sound really good. Results in a deeper tone and helps eliminate some of the backfiring/popping inherent with these type of pipes. A pain to install once the pipes are on so buy them when you buy the pipes and swap them out before you have the pipes mounted.
