Vance & Hines Fuelpak Yamaha Bolt 2014-2016

Installed this with the Vance Hines naked V02 Intake. Intake was very easy to install with great instructions. However, the Fuel Pack for the 2014 Yamaha Bolt came with 2011 Yamaha Striker instructions which seemed like they were from 1990.
V&H website doesn't provide Bolt instructions for download so if you purchase this item it mentions to call fuelpakfi.com Tech Support: (562) 921-0071. Pretty quick call and they were able to instantly email me the mapping for (pak/intake/stock) and (pak/intake/twin slash). Overall took me 5-6 hours to get everything working/running, first time working on this type of thing.

This is not the end all, be all option for upgrades.
I have the Vance and Hines Slash Twin Staggered exhaust and modified air cleaner box with K&N filter. With the new upgrades, the Fuelpak can not address increased engine vibration and backfiring. It really only addresses the issue of running too lean. The bike runs safe with the fuelpak after the upgrades, but the bike performance is below average after going from stock. I have tried different mapping configurations with no luck. I have not tried any other fuel controller options. I didn't buy my bike to beat on it with multiple performance mods, I bought it to enjoy the weather and ride the country side. The Fuelpak is not a good option for me. Based on multiple amazing reviews, I have chose to go with the ECU reflash. I do not recommend this fuelpak to anyone riding a 14' - 15' Yamaha Bolt with full exhaust and air intake mods.

Bye bye back fire!
Installed with the v&h naked air intake and cobra slip on exhaust. Plug n play installation but had to take the gas tank off. Never removed a gas tank off my bikes before so it was a little daunting. Looks harder than it actually is. Thank god for YouTube. Bike ran a little rich after the install with some back firing when closing the throttle. V&H customer service was pretty helpful with what I needed to do. Slowly adjusted the the values until the bike stopped backfiring and ran smoothly. Had to ride the bike, then adjust the values. Took me a couple of adjustments but I finally found the sweet spot. Pretty happy with the end result so far. More adjustments than I expected to do but that tuning I guess. Over all happy with the purchase.

one of the first mods you should do to the bike
Decently priced and is a must for any bike owner. I can feel the difference immediately after install. The instructions provided are ok, but a YouTube video helped me knock out the install in about 45 minutes. I installed this Fuelpak in conjunction with a high flow air filter and slip on exhaust and I couldn't be happier with the performance, looks and sound.

Good Product, V&H Instructions and service lacking
Have been running the fuelpak, alongside the V&H Twin Slash pipes for a few weeks on Yamaha Bolt-R (2014). Ran pipes only before installing the Fuelpak and noticed a great improvement in low down fueling and greater pull throughout the rev range after adding the pak. Still a LOT of popping on decel, so may have to play with fueling modes further. V&H have a lack of interest when I consulted them about further options about future map additions. Instructions are not Bike specific for the bolt, So I highly recommend downloading the PC-V Bolt install instructions as this will provide greater detail on how and where things will need to be connected.

Easy to install, easy to use
Bought the full package from V&H, Air filter, slip-on and the Fuelpak for my Yamaha Bolt. Sounds super, easy to install, made it all by my selfe in a afternoon. Love it.

required for twin slash exhaust
If you're like me you bought the Vance & Hines twin slash exhaust then found out apon receiving the pipes you need the tuner.
I road the bike for a couple days without the tune. Bike ran a little hot and lean at the bottom end. The tune adds a bunch of fuel down low keeping a fairly decent fuel trim all the way to redline.
The bike now runs cooler with the tune. I average around 50mpg. As far as more power, this bike is gutless anyway so I couldn't comment on that part. The bolt is the daily computer and the fz8 is for being a fool.
