Concours 14 does not sound like a sewing machine anymore!
Two items on my list of must do on the Concours.

1. Replace the Potato Cannon (why I bought the CS1).
2. Have the ECU re-flashed.

Always order from Revzilla, I love the service, product reviews, and the rewards. The Revzilla guys actually look like they enjoy what they do!

Good looking and sounding
I installed this a few weeks ago on my 2014 Kawasaki Concours. I like it so much better than the stock muffler (looks and sound). I am about average with installing things. I did have to look at a video online to help make a couple parts of the install more clear since it was a little ambiguous from the directions. But with the help of the video it was pretty easy. Of course this muffler isn't cheap, but I really like the looks and the sound. FYI, there was a pretty nasty smell for about ten rides but it's gone now.

Very Nice Product
I purchased the Vance and Hines exhaust in black finish to replace the original factory setup on my 2014 Kawasaki Concours. The installation took longer than I thought it would but that is mostly how I work since I take my time to do it right. The directions need more detail pictures and information however if you look at the installation videos on YouTube you will be able to do this job yourself with no issues. It only required simple tools to remove the original and install the new exhaust, I recommend using Loctite as a extra precaution for the bolts. The heat shield was just a little tricky to get installed but the overall job turned out well. It sounds great but don't be fooled by the sound inside, once you go outside it is not quite as pronounced, it is louder than stock but not as loud as my Yoshimura on my ZX14 Ninja. It is lighter and better looking than stock, a very good product overall.

Sounds great! You can feel the diference!
Overall great product- cannot seal the mid pipt to the main head pipe completely. There is a small leak at the gap of the clamp. No matter how tight or loose it's connected.... It seems to reduce when the bike is warmed up and exhaust is hot.
Don't think it's enough to worry about!, I'm just picky.

CS One
The CSOne is a quick and easy install. It produces a deeper tone at idle and growl under throttle. At highway speeds the CSOne is only slightly more noticeable than the stock system. Overall I’ve been very pleased with the unit fit and finish. Longer term use will be delayed by winter weather.

Great Purchase
The installation instructions were easy to follow and only took an hour to complete. The exhaust really improved the overall look and peformance of the bike. The exhaust gives the bike a great exhaust note while at idle and running and really sounds great when under load 5500 rpm and up. Great purchase.

The name Vance and Hines has been around a long time, I was looking for a Yoshimura exhaust for my Kawasaki Concours but they do not make one for my vehicle. The reviews are good and the Concours Owners Group have a good opinion of the exhaust.

I have a 2013 Connie. The first time I heard the V&H CS One on a Connie, I couldn't believe how good it sounded. It wasn't obnoxiously loud, but rather sounded like a race bike. The Connie's fine engine deserves a good pipe to make it sound really good. As a bonus, the CS One looks very sharp and is not nearly as huge as the stock potato canon (as another reviewer so adeptly put it). I'm ready to obliterate the sewing machine sound of my Connie and let it sing full bore deep bass!

hello
Can be installed on a 1400 May 2009?
THANKS
A shopper on May 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can and fits very well. If you have a 2009 ZG1400 Concourse you may also want to consider installing the Vance and Hines throttle pack at the same time. This insures that the correct fuel mixture is maintained in all conditions and you won't have any flat spots in you rpm range. Installation is a little tight but pretty straight forward. If you have a 2010 or newer with the ECO feature I would consult with Vance and Hines technical department to see what advise they have for that set up.
I don't notice a huge performance gain but the setup just makes the bike a lot crisper and the throttle response is much better than stock.
I would like to buy the insert that makes this pipe the most quiet. Can someone help me with what and where to buy. I have a 2011 C 14 ?
A shopper on Apr 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: As I recall from research I did before I bought this, a lot of people on the motorcycle forums were asking similar questions. I believe someone actually asked the manufacturer and they said that they did not make anything to make this quieter nor were they planning to.

I have a 2012 Concours and the OEM muffler was extremely quiet. When I first added the slip on, I was inside the garage and, comparatively, it sounded much louder. However, when I got out on the street, it wasn't all that loud. As a matter of fact, I think it has a nice sound and is pretty tame compared to a lot of bikes. I have no concerns about bothering my neighbors so long as you don't rev it up to high rpms.
Vance and Hines slip on for Kawasaki C14 2013. Will it be necessary to update fuel maps or other emissions-like ECU stuff with this slip on? Or can I get away with it as OEM pipe? I really don't want to harm anything with my stock setup but I just don't know. If so, what is the recommmended product to do that tweak? Thank you!
David M on Aug 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I've done nothing but the installation of the exhaust. Ridden it this way for three months now without issues. You will hear some popping when decelerating occasionally.
Does this fit a 2014 Kawasaki Concours considering it is only different from a 2013 in color?
A shopper on Sep 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This will fit the 2014 Concours.
The new body style goes all the way back to 2008.
Noticed that u list the Connies from 2009 but in the reviews it has been mounted on the 2008. I have a 2008 Connie , will this system fit the 2008?
A shopper on Sep 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure as I have a 2012, so I would go by a motorcycle store and look at the 2009 frame to see if it's the same size as your frame. If you live in Florida I have a new one in the box I'm selling for $300. Thanks. nine zero four four zero five two seven five five.
Does this exhaust have removable baffles?
A C on Jun 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: As far as I know you can only remove the tip just inside the end of the muffler. I think it's a 6mm Allen screw. I've done this and didn't notice any real difference so I put it back in. Anything other than that you could void any kind of warranty the muffler may have.
Is this exhaust C.A.R.B. approve since I don't see it mentioned anywhere?

Thanks
joseph b on Oct 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Usually it's listed in the description of the exhaust and you would have an Stamp of approval either stamp on the part or at least a letter of certification with the item.

CA are very serious concerning this.
I would like you to detail what is supplied for the slip on Vance and Hynes CS1 slip on exhaust to suit my 2011 Kawasaki 1400 GTR (Concours in your part of the world) ? Does it come complete with hanger/header pipe etc etc??? Also what does it weigh?

Thanks
Poppabear
A shopper on Apr 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I purchased mine back in 2012. The exhaust comes with all the parts needed to fit it on the frame. It starts from where the headers come into the single pipe under the frame and goes back to the tip. I was quite surprised, the original can weighed about 20kg or more, it was really heavy. The V&H can weighs about 6 or 7kgs. Big difference... sounds great too...
