I have a 2009 XVS 650 Classic with Vance and Hines exhaust system, I'm looking at fitting a Kuryakyn hypercharger, will I need to change the exhaust to short shot or are there modifications I can do to the existing system?
Or is the classic system I'm using sufficient ?

BEST ANSWER: I have a 2009 V-Star 650 Silverado (XVS65ATYR) with a Kuryakyn Hypercharger and this V&H Cruzer exhaust. It works great. I rejetted the carbs with Mikuni 125 jets My elevation is over 4000' and I also added Smartpartz Hard Kore Quiet Baffles to the pipes. If neither of these conditions apply to you then you may need jets that are a size or two highter. Hope that helps!
