Awesome slip ons that give your bike an incredible sound!!! These slip ons were easy to install on my 2013 vrod muscle. Started the bike and what a difference. Recommend watching the you tube for the vrod it made it simple. April 27, 2015
Awesome sound, performance and look The exhauster looks great, improves torque and the sound changes 100%. Unfortunately little protection against heat emission in the legs and discoloration's exhaust heat are bad points September 8, 2014

Came as ordered, installed them and love them I ordered a set of Vance and Hines competition exhaust for my 2014 Harley V Rod. They came in a few days (as promised) and I installed them myself. They are everything I hoped they would be. The bike sounds fantastic and I couldn't be happier (unless they were free) with the competitive price. Thank you for making my bike sound great. April 28, 2014
Great looking, very loud These are really the only pipes I considered for my Muscle. They look the best, and perfectly match the stock heat shields. I listened to several sound clips, and heard one bike in person with them, but I wasn't prepared for how loud they really are. Within a couple days I ordered the quiet baffles which did help a bit but I'll probably still try to find another way to quiet them. Most of my riding is just city speeds, which is where these pipes are truly awesome, perfect volume and bark. Highway speeds they are exactly on the edge of being too loud, something you can probably deal with if you have headphones or earplugs. Easy to install except mine were much harder on the left side of the bike so be ready for some extra effort, overall it only took about an hour with two people taking their time. March 10, 2014
Significantly louder than stock pipes. Changes the power band, lose some low end power but bike pulls hard to red-line. October 30, 2013
Great purchase Took advice from Harley dealership and it turned out to be great advice. They sound amazing and it took about :20 to install. June 24, 2013

amanda b: Vance & Hines has a good track record when it comes to Harley exhaust, May 21, 2015
Martin M: Heard these at the local Harley shop, and had to have them. Factory exhaust was just too quiet. These pipes have a terrific sound. May 10, 2015
Mason B: Kept the clean lines of the bike while remaining factory looking. I also preferred the design of dual exhaust to help keep the bike looking symmetrical. Pipes were easy to install and sounded nice. Only negative...I got a uncomfortable vibration in my ear while wearing a full face helmet (suomy) at very specific rpms. I never experienced that vibration with any of my other aftermarket exhausts. Apr 19, 2015
Mark D: Heard these on another vrod loved the sound and look Apr 6, 2015
Anthony R: Any time I make a purchase for basically anything I do in depth research quality, price and variety. After completing my research I found this to fit exactly what I was looking for and at a reasonable price. Mar 25, 2015
Brad G: I heard these pipes on another V Rod and fell in love with the sound. Jan 26, 2015

brice h: love the sound of the V&H and they look the best with the muscles lines. never a bad choice with V&H Mar 28, 2014
Donney S: Had them put on my wife's v-rod. They sounded awesome. Waiting on my pair now. Cant wait to put them on y bike. Mar 17, 2014
Cristian d: I was looking for a deeper sound.
Stock exhaust sound did not match the look of the VROD.

A shopper asked: is buying a tuner a must, i have been told buy a harley tech as long as i do not change the intake on my muscle it will run fine what is your take on this.? Jan 22, 2015

Daniel T: So far I have not bought a tuner for mine yet, and I have a factory air cleaner. My vrod has been running pretty well, with the exception of a few snaps and pops when engine braking. Your vrod will run fine with just the slip ons, but I would start putting money away for a tuner of some sort, it's not an emergency to get one right away but it's recommended . Jan 24, 2015

James L: I had my local dealer install these on my 2012 VROD Muscle and they did not have to change the fuel injection or put it on a tuner. They were going to but thought it was running fine without it. They told me to bring it back if I noticed any sputtering or backfiring, and I did not need to take it back to them. Love the sound of these pipes! Jan 22, 2015

Fernando D: I tried it first without a Tuner thinking it was all a B.S. marketing ploy to get me to spend more money but sadly no, it's a must as your bike will not function properly due to the change in air/fuel mix ratio needed to adjust for the new mods e.g. exhaust, air intake, etc. Jan 22, 2015

Jordan K: Ya I had the same kit on my bike and the tuner but ran just the pipes for a couple months and other than some backfiring on the downhill which was minor it was totally fine , the tuner did add more power though but like I said it ran just fine with the slip ons only Jan 22, 2015

Scott M: I would highly suggest a tuner as these bikes run lean from the factory anyway. Your muscle will run MUCH better with one. I suggest one of the auto tune models if you don't like messing with the MAPs. Jan 23, 2015

Brian K: Everything I have researched really indicated it would be better to have a tuner. My Bike seems to run better with a Power Commander using maps supplied for the desired setup. Jan 22, 2015

Ashwin K: Yes. I haven't used a tuner and my muscle is running fine with just the slip on. Jan 22, 2015

A shopper asked: Hi, i have the VRSC (2015 muscle), i want to add the slip ons V&H. i have told by V&H that it is a must to have a tune, although the don't offer it, may i have suggestion on best easy (zero problems tune)?

Jordan K: Hi there I have a muscle 2009 with the slips I ran it without the v&h fuel pack for a bit and it was fine but it did have a lot more back pressure on de-accell so I added the tuner however I didn't think it was essential but I'm in canada so it is colder and back pressure can be hard on the valves it's an easy install for the v&h slips and the fuel pak was easy and I did all the code entry myself it was very easy, anyway it sounds awesome and has more bottom end to a bike that already has tonnes of power May 17, 2015

James L: I had them put on by my local Harley dealer because I had heard that the engine would need to be tuned. As it turns out, their computer for their tuner was down and they said to ride it without tuning and bring it back if I notice anything unusual about the way it was running. I didn't notice any problems and didn't take it back. I would probably recommend that you have them check it though. May 18, 2015

Majed A: thanks everybody, for the support and information, i have visited the dealer and they said it will be ok to run without a tune for the first 6 month, although i decided to tune and not taking the risk to have any failure at my investment. as i can see that everybody is happy with the Dynojet power vision,i will go a head and upgrade my bike to stage 1, to get the full benefit for that. cheers May 18, 2015

brice h: For starters I put the quiet baffles in mine, normal baffles are very loud and yes I would recommend a tune, mine popped a lot without the tuner. I put a dyna jet power vision on mine, by far the cleanest and easiest tuner for Harley's, check out the web site. You plug into your cpu and flash a map, no cutting into any harness, I love those pipes by the way May 14, 2015

Mason B: Hi. I never ran a tune on mine and it ran fine with no problems or performance issues. You can either look into power commanders or a harley shop with a dyno will tune it for you $$$$. If you are paying someone to tune it I'd recommend getting all your performance mods done before going so you don't have to go back and pay more money. May 14, 2015

Robert S: Hi , yes I put the V&H slip on's on and I'm very happy with the sound, they snap and crackles a little when you let off the gas but so does a small block Chevy with straight pipes. They're easy to put on watch your temp gage for your first couple rides and your good!!! May 15, 2015

Alaa A: I prefer to get a tune to be on the safe side..check with your local dealer for a stage 1 tune ( that might be too expensive) or get a V&HV&H fuel pack ..you can also go for a dyno tune..couple of my friends didn't tune the rods and no single issue yet May 14, 2015

leonidas m asked: Vance & Hines Competition Series Slip-On Exhaust For Harley V-Rod Muscle 2009-2015 do the two slip on's come for 585$ in this kit? Jan 21, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
brice h: A little cheaper than I got them for, everything for install is in the kit. Very easy to put on. Very loud, I went back and bought the quiet baffles and love them. I would also recommend buying a dyna jet power vision, it will make your bike run perfect after the pipe mod, worth every penny Jan 22, 2015

Yogesh P: Yes.. it for a pair of them. It'll replace just the rear section of the exhaust and the head pipes stay intact. Sounds amazing and you'll love every moment of it. Apr 25, 2014

A shopper asked: Hi. My HD is a VRod 2003 , aniversary, all aluminum. So i want advice on wich exhaust match or look better on my motorcycle ? Sep 30, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Cristian d: Hi,
Vans&Hines has many options for VRODs, but first you need to chose the one that fits yours.
I bought the Slip-On for the VROD Muscle, and I'm happy with it.
The sound of V&H exhaust is very deep and powerful.
You may also add the optional quiet baffles in order to make the bike a little more 'friendly' (with your neighbors).

Best Regards.

Teves B: I have a 2013 vrod muscle and I purchased the VH slip ons. They have a deep throaty aound which I like. I did have a friend tell me the 2 in 1 has a different sound. I just didnt like the look. As far as sound, I think either one is good. You just have to figure out which one will look better on your vrod. Hope this helps Sep 30, 2013
