Vance & Hines Competition Series Slip-On Muffler For Harley Street
Vance & Hines introduces the Competition Series slip-on muffler in matte black for the new Harley Street 750 and 500 models. The angular design of the slip-on captures the minimalist and raw attitude of the Street. Formed in lightweight stainless steel and coated in a high temperature ceramic finish, the Competition Series slip-on also features a machined billet end cap finished in matte chrome. With an aggressive deep tone thanks to its fiberglass wrapped baffle, the slip-on muffler gives the Street the roar of a big twin bike, and also includes a removable insert to adjust the sound level to the rider's preference.

Vance & Hines Comp Slip On Pipe For HD Street 750
Well, After a long wait the new pipe came today. I have already installed it on my wife's Street 750. Installation time including removing the Screaming Eagle slip on pipe about 15 min. I first started it as out of the box. It sounds about the same as the Screaming Eagle. I removed the whole insert, WAY TO LOUD!!!!! I was just checking it out. So, I removed the little black insert plug. It has a allen scew holding it in. Now it sounds really good. I myself removed the whole insert again and removed Half of the fiberglass packing but leaving the steel wool wrap (Spark Arrest Properties) It is perfect now. Really throaty with a hint of sprint track racer in it. It is the typical good quality of Vance And Hines. It came with a new LONGER heat shield for the catalytic converter. Im impressed. I already had the high flow air cleaner and had my HD dealer do a Stage 1 download. This is a must when adding this pipe. Dyna Jet or Fuel Pak3 is good as well.
I am in California so this is for track purposes only and will always keep my stock and LEGAL in Calif. Screaming Eagle Super TRAPP.

Duane H:I am actually using a vance and hines slip on off a sportster for which I made a bracket to bolt it on the Street 750. This is the same dimentionaly and fiberglass packed as the new pipe being made by V&H I travel for my business and not home to do a video. But will be home next week (Tuesday)Aug 14, 2014
Duane H:Joseph J, YES YOU WILL NEED A TUNE UP OR MODULE!!!!!!! You will run lean and could burn a valve or worse. Go to your HD dealer and get the stage 1 download it's like 275.00 or buy a v&h fuelpak3 Dynajet ect. I can do a video but you can't tell the difference by a video. In a video it will sound like a nightstick. The Vance And Hines blows away the nightstick......PERIOD. It is not about making a few extra horse power. It gives the bike that throaty HD sound. Read my review of the actual vance and Hines I believe I was the first to get one because of my early preorder. Read what I did to the pipe on my wife's Street 750.Sep 2, 2014
Duane H:BTW, The Screamin Eagle Nightstick sounds awesome with the super trap disc's removed. You can also pull the baffel insert and run it straight or remove some or all of the fiberglass packing. Please remember you will need to get at least a stage one tuneup done or add a dyna jet or V AND H Fuel Pak 3 on the Street 750 when putting on any high flow pipe air cleaner ect.Aug 14, 2014
Hey Duane, I have a Street 500 and I'm looking for a better exhaust than the Screamin Eagle nightstick. I would like to hear what this pipe sounds like. Do you know of any videos or could you possible do one yourself? Also, second question, is it absolutely necessary to change the tuning module when installing this pipe, or can you do without it? Thank you!

Duane H:Super huge. It is on my wifes HD Street 750. We started with a HD Screamin Eagle Supertrapp exhaust over the stock pipe. She wanted more subsonic tone The Vance And Hines products get her close to my HD bikes with Vance And Hines Shortshots. Vance And Hines is the clear choice. D.HansenJul 27, 2014
Right now I have a older V&H Comp Slip on pipe (Generic)on the Street 750. Almost the same as the new one which I pre-ordered a month ago. Wont have it till Middle August now (Waiting) I just got the HD Stage One Tune Up Download and the bike is punchy quick. My wife loves it! The Vance And Hines is worth the wait over the Screaming Eagle which we have as well.

Duane H:I am now running the actual V&H Comp slip on pipe on my wife's Street 750, Your not going to get a real boost in H.P. maybe a few. It is more about the sound. The Street 750 is pretty fast on its own. We have the air cleaner and the pipe. As well as a download tune up. The Street 750 will stomp a sportster 883 or even a 1200 in the quarter mile with the right rider. If you look at cycle world Dyno tests the Street 750 is impressive. By the V&H Comp Pipe and a high flow air cleaner . Get a module and or a HD tune up. That's what is out there for the 500/750 for now. I don't see anything huge coming out anytime soonSep 2, 2014
