Enter at your own risk.
Received item in fair time. Looked ok. Went to put on the bike. Parts manufactured wrong. Spent 2 weeks back and forth with Vance and Hines to get correct parts. Big pain for a minor change. Not good. Too early to say if the product is good once installed.

Looks great on my 08 Nightrod Special, makes it purr! Make sure you purchase the matching Fuelpak, it's truly required for best performance and to ensure you don't damage your engine.

Great Sound
I recently purchased a stock 2013 V-rod Night Rod Special, and it just didn't quite have the right sound from the exhaust. After doing quite a bit of research I settled on the Vance & Hines 2 into 1. After getting it installed at the dealer, a tuner, and a dyno run I gained 10 horsepower and 7 additional torques. The sound is awesome! It does get a little hot close to the leg but I don't ride for very long stretches so it hasn't bothered me. Overall an excellent product that looks and sounds great!

Awesomely loud pipes
Great sound and performance from these guys. The correct map for the bike may be tricky because I am still having some issues at low RPM's but that isn't the exhaust fault.

Looks and sounds like a harley
Did have trouble getting it on as the pipes were slightly warped at the ends, dont know if that was manufacturing error or what but for the amount of money you would expect better. It does run extremely hot and is not made for in town riding, if your not speeding down the highway then your leg is going to cook. But after all the trouble they look and sound awesome, especially at low rpms.

Wanted a short pipe for when I do the Wide Tire Kit on my Vrod, has a 240, going up to 300. All I hear is good things about the V&H 2 into 1 and I am also tired of my Harley sounding like a Honda with the stock exhaust!

Just to CONFIRM, this product does NOT fit on V-Rods with MID controls?!?!
I do not see the VRSCD listed :(
QCDragon on Jul 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I highly doubt it would fit a bike with mid controls.
What other items do I need to buy to go with this? Such as gaskets, etc
A shopper on Mar 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 1st. just to be able to install the pipe you will need/should buy new exhaust gaskets. I have researched and found there are two different styles available. Of course they hahave the stock gaskets (which are cone shaped) and "screaming eagle" makes a set of high performance flat gaskets. After using the stock ones (everyone suggested this) i found it hard to get the pipe started/lined up straight. I got it done with no leaks, but I am a experienced mechanic. The Vance Hines pipe is a flat/straight cut where the factory exhaust has a rounded flange that goes into the exhaust port. I would use the "screaming eagles" next change.

2nd. Unless your going to ride your bike like a "douche bag" looser, short shift the hell out of it, and keep it under 4,000rpm's you will have to buy an "auto tuner" of some type or ha a good old fashioned professional dyno tune (as i did) performed. Example: I have a V-rod, which is rated at 115hp at the crank stock. You should understand that you will loose a fair of hp going through the drivetrain (takes hp to turn the transmission, front pulley, and drive belt) I had my bike dyno'd with 2,800 miles and a screaming eagle air filter, using the screaming eagle race tuner. The bike made 107hp at the tire, put the pipe on and first dyno pull we made 113hp. Withe the proper tuning we ended up with almost 119hp at the wheel and picked up 5mph on the highway turning the same rpm as before. We saved about 20lbs of weight off the bike with the exhaust change and more torque.

Hope this helped.
Do you know of any issues with the mounting bracket not fitting or being too short?
A shopper on Jun 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I had to take 4-5mm off one of the primary pipes (from memory the outer one) to allow the muffler to slide up on the collector more so I could mount the muffler. I hope this helps
If I install the new exhaust can I ride it without modifying the fuel?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You can ride around with out having it tuned, it won't hurt the bike but u will get backfire when downshifting or letting off the throttle at higher rpms, may also not crank as smoothly but that would be all. I would recommend a Dino tune later on though, cost around $600, but it'll get it perfect for your bike.
Will this fit the 2014 muscle vrscf also do I need to change the air filter and fuel modul and remap it ??
A shopper on Mar 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not sure about the 2014 muscle, but are definitely going to want to change to a high flow air filter and install a fuel module. The bike will not run properly without these changes.
I installed mine in a 2002 V Rod, best mods I could have made.
How would I clean the pipe from outside if I was to install a silver color pipe as with time I believe it would get dull and even might change colour coz or the heat. ?
Thanks
A shopper on Apr 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have the brushed stainless steel myself, yes it will turn color from the heat no matter what anyone tells you. It will even turn blue at the areas that are subject to the highier temps. (like near the exhaust port on the jug)mine did. It is a freaking race pipe, it is really not meant to look pretty, it is to help you go fast. I don't know that there is a way to clean it or polish it without it changing again. Most people just love the way mine looks cause of the design and that it is a Vance/Hines. One trick that a friend of mine did was to have the pipe ceramic coated (about $100)before installing it, nice thing is you can do it later even sftrr it has changed color. This gives you some time to save for it after spending $700 on the pipe and $200-300 for re mapping on the dyno. Good luck.
I have V&H 2into1 Big radius and i have problems with the front elbow scrapping the ground in turns, How much clearance to you get from this exhaust?
James M on Oct 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Mine is marked on the lower primary tube about 2.5" off the bottom spring location. It also scraps on the bottom/side of the muffler. Being stainless you can't see these marks too much but if it were a black system it would look terrible.....
I am about to raise the forks to see if this helps as I am also scraping the underside of the frame on each side of the bike....!
Does this package include the tuner or is that sold separately?
rabee h on Apr 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Separately, but I wouldnt buy that, it's not nessisary for it, I would get it Dino tuned for your bike instead.
Hi, I just recently bought this exhaust system and was wondering if you recommend and specific cleaner to get burnt clothing off of it being that is black and not your typical chrome exhaust? Thanks for any info
A shopper on May 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't know what you could use honestly but I can tell you do not use any kind of cleaning chemicals as it can mess up the matte finish
What is the best baffle to use with the competition 2 in 1 on the Vrod ?
A shopper on Apr 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I use the stock baffle, it's pretty large baffle and really does very little, so unless you wanted to make it quieter I'd leave it alone or remove if your drag racing then remove it and get it tuned.
