Vance & Hines Big Shots Staggered Exhaust For Harley Dyna

Big Shots provide the best of both worlds: long, low 2-into-2 style pipes with 2-into-1 performance thanks to the Vance & Hines Power Chamber hidden crossover. Complete with one-piece full length heat shields and slash-cut CNC-machined end-caps, Big Shots Staggered pipes come standard with louvered-core baffles and can also be fitted with optional quiet baffles.

Vance & Hines has designed a new flat-plane mounting panel for the 12mm oxygen sensors now employed across the Dyna model line, which positions the sensor deeper into the exhaust stream, providing enhanced data feedback to the ECM.

Features:

  • Power Chamber crossover technology
  • Full-coverage heat shields
  • Equipped with 12mm O2 sensor ports
  • Optional Quiet Baffle available separately
  • Made in the USA

These pipes are sick!
These pipes rock. Much deeper tone than the short shots. No video on online does it justice. It sounds to me exactly like a Harley should. The quality and finish are top of the line.

Easy install and Ideal Performance Results
Like everybody else shopping for new pipes, it was a struggle to decide on the best pipes for my bike to produce the desired performance. These where the clear winner. Vance & Hines is synonymous with Harley performance exhaust.

The system wasn't very difficult to install with some basic garage tools. I would say the only tricky part is actually fitting them to the bike cylinder ports. these pipes are finely machined that the gap tolerance is exact making the install a bit tricky.

i will say that the stock V & H baffles do not cut it if you wish to preserve your hearing for more then 5 years. i would wear ear plugs because the tones would simply make my ear ring. after about a week of that i decided to purchase the quiet baffles and i am very happy about it.

not as quiet as I would like them to be
I installed these pipes with the quite baffles in hopes of getting a little quieter sound. The baffles were easy to install, as the pipes were off of the bike.I went from the V & H two into one and replaced it with these, still a little loud , but they did help with the noise level at cruising speeds. No problems with the installation of the pipes, perfect fit

Good product, would recommend
This exhaust was very good quality, easy to install, at an average price. There are more and less expensive choices, but in the end I went with a recognized name which was recommended by my local shop to satisfy my needs in an exhaust system. Three months later and I'm still satisfied with my choice.

I like the quality and look and sound of these pipes !

Love V&H for their superior fit and finish, as well as sound. Had V&H Short Shots on a previous bike and loved them, this time i needed "full length" exhaust to make the passenger happy.

Do these require removal or relocation of passenger footpegs?
A S on Oct 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Not on my 2014 dyna fat bob, easy install, awesome sound and looks!
Do these pipes come with new crush gaskets?
A shopper on May 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, mine did. I saw no reference to them being included, so ordered them seperately as well. Now I have spares, which is a good idea.
Do these come with baffles? And if you do can you take them out to allow minimal restriction of exit exhaust?
Brian M on Feb 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes they do and yes you can. I wouldn't recommend removing the baffles. They're plenty loud and the baffles aren't going to hinder performance at all
I just hit 1000 miles on my 2015 dyna streetbob, looking for a v&h exhaust sys. my question is which sys ( shortshots or bigshots staggered) would be best? i've already gotten v&h airfilter plus fuelpak3.no engine mods at this time.lookin for increase at lowend to midrange,my plan is to stay under 85 mph so extreme topend is not real important.also have forwarded mounted controls will this be a issue with installation with either sys? thanks in advance for the help.
A shopper on Dec 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Go with the Big Shots. They sound better in my opinion, and they have the power chamber crossover to boost performance a bit more. Usually the shorter the pipe the less performance it offers. The Short Shots are cool and sound nice, but for a little extra money the Big Shots are a superior product. My mom ordered them for me as a gift (this is her account) and I installed them with an arlen ness big sucker and a Fuelpak 3 on my 2014 Street Bob. Runs great, sounds great, and I definitely could feel the boost in performance.

As far as installation goes... its easy!! Short Shots might be easier to install as they are two separate pipes you put on one at a time, but either pipe set will work with forward controls.
