A shopper asked: Are these slip on louder than average slip ons? Mar 12, 2015

Pierre S: I guess "average slip ons sound" is pretty subjective, as is everything else when it comes to how exhaust pipes sound.

So let me put it this way. I installed those with the V&H Power Dual Headers with these slip on exhausts. Well, I won't say they are quiet, for sure. Initially, I even thought of adding the db killer that can be adapted to them. I bought them... but haven't installed them yet. I love the sound of those so much that I don't feel like toning it down anymore.

Another way of putting it is: on a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 would be stock in Europe, 3 would be stock pipes in the US and 10 would be empty pipes, these would be a 7.5. Not something that would get your neighbors to want to practice shooting on you, but not something that goes unnoticed either.

I suggest you buy them and, like me, if and when you think they are too loud, just add the DB killers which cost only a few bucks.

Good luck,

Pierre

Larry S: I bought these pipes because I wanted the blacked out look. I was hoping they would be louder and they are, more so, than stock pipes. However, the only way that your pipes will be louder is to replace the header pipes as well and get rid of the catalytic converter. Until then your pipes will not be as loud as you might think. I am happy with the pipes and will soon be replacing the header pipes. Mar 21, 2015

Dawn B: I think the sound is very nice. Not sper loud but deeper than my stick pipes Mar 12, 2015
