Vance & Hines 3" Round Twin Slash Slip-On Mufflers For Harley Sportster

In addition to the performance and sound, V&H fashioned a stylish look that's blue proof thanks to full-coverage heat shields over the muffler bodies. Twin Slash slip-ons come with standard louvered core baffles.

Features:

  • 2.5" round muffler bodies shielded by 3" full-coverage heat shields
  • Signature twin-slash end treatment
  • Optional Quiet Baffle and Competition Baffle (sold separately)
  • Sold as a pair
  • Made in the USA

Note: Photos are shown with OEM accessory head pipe heat shields for reference only - shields for the head pipes are not included with the mufflers.

Best sounding slip-on These mufflers are the best value for the price available from any manufacturer, and the best sounding slip-on available. They are relatively easy to install and have a great finish. August 31, 2015
These pipes let out a big growl! Thanks to Vance and Hines, my Harley really sounds like a Harley now! The installation was fairly easy, until I had difficulty with the stock clamps that attach the slip-ons to the header pipes. That was just me though, none the less theses pipes are totally worth it! June 8, 2015
sounds great and fast service DAM !!! That was fast delivery. I ordered it on Sunday night and got it Wednesday. I was thinking that I was going to get it two weeks later like all the other places that I ordered stuff on line. And the slip on muffler sounds great. I'm very happy with the Service and the muffles. May 16, 2015
Love these slip-ons! I price shopped these for 2 days & Revzilla had the best deal. Brand new...excellent packaging & extremely fast shipping! Would recommend Revzilla to everyone! May 12, 2015
Love this, Must upgrade for anyone who just got a Bike First, Revzilla... I ordered this on a monday at 6:45PM EST. Standard Shipping, they were at my front door the next day at 2:30PM. Well packaged, no issues. Now the pipes, this looks amazing, it took me about 1:45min to install them, but that's because I really took my time with it. took a lot of pictures and was cleaning and being picky about it all the way. these are super easy to install. The sound once installed is just amazing, they are louder i thought they were going to be but that's ok I was looking for that deep loud sound. recommended for anyone, the stealership was asking $400 + $140 installation. May 11, 2015
Easy Install/Great Sound I installed these on my 2014 Iron. I am incredibly happy with my purchase. Vance and Hines offer great products but teamed with Revzilla it was amazing. I got them in the mail extremely fast. They are very loud but not obnoxious and at highway speeds very nice purr again without being annoying. Install was a breeze except for one thing. The clamp that holds the muffler to the header is slightly smaller than the Vance and Hines so it took some persuasion. My bike sounds like a real motorcycle not just an angry sewing machine. Just don't set off your neighbors car alarms like I did on the test run :). I definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a cheaper than full system way to upgrade your exhaust and give it a great sound. May 1, 2015
Excellent fit and finish: Great Sound Installed these on my wife's 2015 Forty Eight. They look great. The finish is a perfect fit for the HD denim black billet heat shields. The install was fairly easy and straightforward. The stock exhaust clamp barely fits the V&H pipe so I had to tap it into place with a rubber mallet. No problem and the rest was easy. Sound is superb. That being said, they are fairly loud pipes. I think they sound nearly as loud as the short shots, so be informed. If you're looking for a quieter pipe, these aren't it (although you could try the quiet baffle). Used a V&H FuelPak. Easy to use, and the combo is excellent. Bike sounds great, pulls smoother through each gear range and runs richer (cooler) than stock. Great addition to a fun bike. April 25, 2015
Great sound! Great sound for the price and very easy to install! I would definitely recommend these slip ons to anyone. April 15, 2015

A shopper asked: Hello i have an iron 2014 and I hesitate between the slips and the short cut. I prefer the short cut look but I fear the sound to be too loud and with less bass than the slips. Any advices? Many thanks for you help. Remy Nov 1, 2014

landon r: Hey I too have a 2014 iron I went with the slash cut slip on and they are awesome looking as well as sounding! Not terribly loud but they definitely get noticed. My buddy has the short shots and while I like there look I find that because the pipes end about where the riders ears sits the tend to get annoying after a bit best of luck! Nov 1, 2014

Matthew D: I got the slip-ons and with a side by side with a friend that has an iron like me I didn't notice much of a difference. Like someone here said the short shots being close to your ear range may be annoying. I also went with the slip ons because if you see an iron, the have short shots, I wanted something different than everyone else. I got black slip ons and am leaving my headers chrome, it looks great. brice h: Short cuts are pretty loud, and we put the quiet baffles in my wife's twin slash, it sounds really nice and the baffles add back pressure. I also added a dynajet power vision and the bike runs perfect Nov 1, 2014

A shopper asked: I see that the black slip ons have the black heat shield do they come with that or do you have to purchase them separately? May 29, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
landon r: The heat shields for the slip on portion of the exhaust are included you do however have to purchase seperate black shields for the pipe portion from engine exit to the slip onsif u so choose. I think the stock chrome into black slip ons is sweet just my opinion. Jun 11, 2014

Kevin L: They come with them, you pay and extra $66+ for the black option. You do not need to purchase anything separate for these slip ons. Jun 11, 2014

Thomas B: Nothing else. These pipes don't require the afr to be tuned or a larger air cleaner, I'm running the same setup and love it. May 14, 2014

Allen R: Hi Thomas, just wondering how's your bike running now, without the tune, air filter, & fuelpak? Mar 1, 2015
Mohd Taufik M: Yup, you need quit baffle and I'm pretty sure you and your neighbor will be happy. May 23, 2014

Thierry T: Hi..if the noise is too lourd, additionnels quiet baffle options or smartpartz.if you change the air filter, you must change the mapping.(zodiac parts....)sorry for traduction, but i speak frenche.....

Alexander L asked: If the baffles are sold separately are these straight pipes? Aug 5, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
james s: Alexander No they are complete Mufflers with street baffles after you install them and think they should be louder or quieter then you can buy a set that is in the direction your going for. Right out of the box my Sportster sounds perfect the tune they have could never be duplicated.

David T: They are not straight pipes but the baffles that are in them don't make a lot of difference. I opted for the quite baffles it is still loud but not so much it will wake the neighbors. Aug 11, 2015

Ernie E asked: Do you need to tune the ECU with this install? Aug 2, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
james s: If your bike is equipped with O2 sensor there is no need to tune it at this time you can also change the Breather (air cleaner) without tuning it the O2 will compensate for the change. Now if your through with your upgrades then I would have it tuned it will make a difference you will appreciate. Aug 6, 2015

Ernie E: So installing the exhaust without a tune will not make the engine run too rich? Aug 7, 2015
David T: I had to get a high flow airlifted and add a fuel pack i did to like all the backfiring the fuel pack made a world of difference. Aug 11, 2015

A shopper asked: If i take the black version do i get the shields for the original "begining" of the exhaust ? The ones with the holes in it ?
And where can i find the right quiet baffle to fit in ?
Nov 12, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
bradley p: The heat shield with the holes is on harley website they did not come with them and the quiet baffles are right that revzilla sells I ordered them to Nov 12, 2014

Matthew D: Heat shields for the headers are a separate purchase. If you have a 2014 or newer certain bikes don't offer them for those year models. May 1, 2015

A shopper asked: I am shopping mufflers for my new Harley Davison 48 Sportster 2014 1200XL...With these mufflers - Do I need to do anything with air filter ? I've read lots of it and some says to keep the performance or improve we need to change the air filter system as well. Please advise. May 6, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Troy S: I've got these on my Iron 883 with no performance issues. I didn't need to do any re-tuning (I've got the stock air filter).

They sound great! Not obnoxiously loud, but people definitely hear me coming and going. :)
