Vance Hines 3 Round Twin Slash Slip-On Mufflers For Harley Softail 2007-2016
Great quality, straight forward installation.
Arrived on time. I planned to just review the installation instructions and loosen the stock mufflers on my 2013 Softail Slim. After starting, I ended up finishing the instal. Took about 2hrs. I will say, the most time consuming was getting the stock clamps on the new V&H mufflers. I choose the V&H mufflers because I was told I wouldn't need to remap. They were louder than I expected, but not wanting to switch to the "quiet" baffles. I do agree with those who feel the V&H mufflers should ship with the "quiet" baffles. Was a bit confused, as the box clearly indicated that a Fuelpak was necessary with the V&H slip ons.
Took the bike out and it definitely had a decal pop. I had also switched out the stock air filter to a K&N unit so I thought that might of been the cause of the decal pop. Put the stock air filter back in, and was definitely a cleaner decal. I decided to order the Fuelpak. Should arrive this week. I'll put the K&N air filter back in and remap. You can hear the new mufflers through my full face helmet, but not an annoying loud level so will keep the standard baffles in. The V&H 3 " slash cut mufflers are great quality, very nice chrome, and pretty easy to instal. Take your time, read and understand the instructions and it will go smooth. Great working with Revzilla!!!

Good quality, sound, and price
Came packaged nicely, with everything needed to install except programmer. Took me about 1-2 hours to do by myself, including updating ECU using their Fuelpak 3 programmer I purchased separately.
My Softail Slim S now sounds the way it should.

Put these on my 2015 Softail Deluxe and what a big difference it made. Great deep growl that I was looking for. For the price you cant go wrong.

Looks great! Sounds awesome!
Fitment was perfect but instalation was a little tricky with the mounting hardware,if I were to do it again I will be pulling the rear tire to make it easier.

Amazing sound and performance
I have installed these slip ons on my 2015 Fat Boy Lo along with the HD heavy breather air cleaner and the Vance and Hines FP3 fuel pack tuner. What a difference in performance, looks and sound!
Right out of the box these slip ons look great, it took me all of 15 minutes to install them, it would have been less but the softails have a couple of tricky bolts that are hard to get to if you don't have the right tools...I got the standard baffle and the sound its deep and throaty but not obnoxious, after the auto tune my bike runs way better, no back fire or sputtering at all.
I liked them so much I got another set for my sportster bobber as well, I highly recommend these slipons

Great Sound with quiet baffles
These pipes with the quiet baffles installed is the sound I've been looking for. Has a bite during acceleration and quiets down to a mellow cruising sound at steady RPMs.

Great Sound: Terrible Fit for Fatboy
I put these pipes on my wife Forty Eight; easy to install, look great and sound perfect. I ordered them for my Fatboy and completely different experience. Although they look good and sound good, the fit is terrible and an enormous pain in the a$#.
The Fatboy bracket is at a tight angle up against the swing arm. This makes getting to the exhaust mount bolts very challenging. Vance and Hines didn't bother to weld nuts into the brackets on the slip ons, so you have to try and fit the bolts and nuts inside the bracket, at a bad angle. It is nearly impossible to get any tool into the area. This would have been made much easier if V&H welded the nut onto the bracket like the stock pipes. I'm accomplished with a wrench and believe me, installing these simple slip ons was a nightmare.
In my mind; not worth the money. If doing it over, I would not order these pipes. I'd either order something else with a better bracket system or a full system. Note; this is specific to the Softails and Fatboy. The sportster install was much easier due to the location of the stock bracket.
Finish is typical V&H quality and the sound is good, if a little loud. But definitely Harleyesque.

Nice rumble without being obnoxious
I recently bought a 2014 Harley Fat Boy Lo and the stock exhaust had to go. I purchased the Vance and Hines 3" Round Twin Slash Slip Ons after reading a couple reviews and am extremely happy and satisfied with them. Relatively easy to put on and they look great. They have that low rumble that a Harley should have. People now can definitely hear that I am coming.
