UCLEAR HBC200 Dual Force Bluetooth Communicator

New for 2012 and featuring Boomless ABF Technology, UCLEAR HBC200 Force introduces Super Group Intercom and Multi-Hop technology, specifically designed for group communications with full duplex intercom. Multi-hop technology, used in military tactical communications provides superior sound quality and connection stability over Bluetooth intercom systems that suffer from interference and are "line of sight" dependent. By incorporating Multi-hop technology, each Uclear HBC200 control unit works as a repeater or relay station, enabling the network to grow as more control units/riders are added to the group. Depending on riding conditions, the intercom range between two riders is up to 700 meters. Adding a third unit/rider increases the intercom range up to an additional 700 meters. Add a fourth rider and the entire group can communicate up to 2100 meters (1.3 miles) in full duplex intercom mode.

  • Music, Calls, GPS (Bluetooth devices)
  • Super Group Intercom (Full Duplex 4 riders)
  • Multi-Hop Communication Extender (up to 700 meters between units or 2100 meters (1.3 miles) between four units.)
  • Voice command for hands-free call pickup
  • Hi-Fi stereo audio (AVRCP, A2DP)
  • Boomless microphone (Industry first)
  • Patented ABF / DSP technology isolates your voice and eliminates all background noise
  • Firmware upgrades available

UCLEAR HBC200 Force Bluetooth Communicator - Dual Pack 4.5 5 62 62
Decent Product Purchased three of these for a 16 day 3000 mile trip from SF to Cabo and back on a DR650. They had charging issues from the get go and by the end of the trip 2 units were dead. Customer service was great and sent me two brand new ones under warranty, just sucks to ride I-5 without comm or music. July 5, 2016
does what it should, gives communication well, out of the box, one unit (bought pair) had a bad battery... replaced very quickly by uclear, and without issue... they work great... so far, only used as rider/passenger comms, but work great... but you have to be willing to fine tune your gear... we've had to adjust position in the helmets... had to adjust volumes... once paired, the units keep volume level and pairing... but can be picky at times... we've had some backfeed from loud exhaust, so adjust the volume down... at high speeds, need a little more volume... I don't hear as well as rider, so looking forward to getting a windshield to reduce my wind noise... but overall, happy that my wife and I can communicate during ride... I have seen some improvements in firmware updates... keep up the good work... May 17, 2016
Great but..... I have 3 of these Units. Installation is not too difficult. But the lack of an App for Android and iPhone is a real weakness. The trouble you have to go to, to update this product and connect them all each time, is to be honest, a very poor allocation of resources for a company with a product that could be amazing. It should be as simple as launching the App, connecting them devices and off you go! It desperately needs an App for both Android and iPhone February 8, 2016
Product works as advertised Got the dual pack, installed them in a few minutes on a HJC IS-Max 2 helmet. Easy install and very comfortable, can not tell speakers are there when helmet is on my head. One speaker did not work, but the weird thing is it still sounded great and worked well, Was even better on the other helmet with both speakers working (obviously). Was not sure if I needed to go back to Uclear or Revzilla for the fix. Called Revzilla, person on the phone was super friendly and immediately shipped me a new unit. I just returned the defective one in a self addressed postage paid box back to Revzilla. Super easy. I will not lower my rating due to this defect as the service from Revzilla was excellent and the sound and performance on this system with no boom mike is really good (even with one speaker not working). Impressed. January 24, 2016
Works like advertised. At 55 yrs of age. My wife decided to take the motorcycle riders safety course and to buy her own motorcycle. During our first couple of rides together, I realized helmet intercoms would be a great addition. I chose UClear for their technology and mic free communication set up. We only pair to each other and to our phones ( calls only ). Quality of communication at speeds over 40 mph is sometimes taxing. Mainly due to helmet noise. I've taken a break from addressing the helmet noise to write this review. I'm thinking Universal Earbuds would help considerably with reducing helmet noise issues. Range, quality of sound, and ease of installation is exactly as advertised. Communication is very clear. No lag. No static. I'm considering purchasing additional accessories for use with my bicycle and snowboarding helmets. In reading other reviews. I'm thinking the problems others are having are related to incorrect installation ( speaker positioning ). And their choice of speakers as apposed to earbuds for their individual installations. I am very happy with our UClear HBC200's. Now if I can only get myself to stop singing and talking to myself. My wife would fee the same way about our UClear communication system. Thanks to UClear she can tell me to shut up even while we are riding our motorcycles. August 24, 2015
easy to use Easy to install and operate. System uses Bluetooth which has very short range. Works flawless at a stop light or with in 5 bike lengths. Any more than that, no good at all. No complaints here, three of us ride together and can communicate all day long! July 6, 2015
Boom-less mics work surprisingly well! I bought the dual pack for my wife and I for use on our Indian Roadmaster; the units are installed in our Shoei Neotec helmets. I've updated the firmware to v. 2.19. I like the system well enough that I went ahead and bought the UCLEAR ear bud speaker system and installed it in my HJC IS-33 3/4 helmet. Set up is relatively simple, although you'll need to get used to the double-click rate. (It's a bit faster than I'm comfortable with.) Pairing with other UCLEAR units is ridiculously easy, as was pairing with both the Roadmaster and my iPhone 6. I've settled on kind of a Rube Goldberg pairing scheme in which I pair my phone with Roadmaster, and the Roadmaster with my HBC200. The main reason for this is so that I can see Pandora / radio information on the Roadmaster's display. On a bike less fancy than the rolling Barcalounger, I'd just pair the phone directly with HBC200. Installation in my Shoei Neotec was a bit of a kluge; the speaker holes in the Neotec aren't large enough to accommodate the HBC200 speakers, and they are too far back. That aside, just placing the speakers on top of the cheek pad inserts worked fine, and is quite comfortable. I used the permanent stick-on mounts; they are "cleaner" looking than the C-clamps. I've not tried to remove one of the stick-on mounts; they are quite sturdy and I suspect this will be a challenge if I ever want to try it. (So make sure you do it right the first time!) Battery life is fantastic, both in use and sitting on the shelf. It's been a very pleasant surprise. I commute about an hour a day, and usually my wife and I will take a 2-3 hour ride on the weekend. One charge per week has been more than sufficient. Gripes are minor. Music sharing doesn't work well (audio is too choppy on the sharing unit). UCLEAR says this will be fixed in the next firmware update. We'll see. :-) Also, as a result of my unusual pairing scheme, I can't get back to music mode once I've gone into intercom mode. This is not a big deal, but hopefully the next firmware release will address this, too. Overall the HBC200 is a good intercom system. If you're worried about the boom-less mic, don't be - it works just fine in both my modular and 3/4 helmets. (Although do bear in mind that the Roadmaster provides very considerable wind protection. If you ride a naked bike, you might have a different experience.) June 1, 2015
Dissatisfied I thought having a bluetooth communication device was a great idea. The only problem is the Uclear devices have no EQ adjustment so when communicating with one another it sounds like they are talking into a tin can. Plus each speaker has a microphone. The microphones have to be exactly in the same position in the helmet otherwise there's a millisecond delay in the voice which makes understanding the other person very difficult. I went back to a boom com set-up that plugs into my Harley. Much better sound and only has one microphone. May 18, 2015
