Work great I ride year round so decided on heated gear this year. Tourmaster gives you everything right out of the box so i went with them on the jacket liner and pants. Have riden on the highway for an hour straight in 34 degree weather and was fine. My right hand was a different story but I've since installed heated grips. December 2, 2012

The Tour Master Synergy 2.0 Heated Pants Liner are designed to go underneath motorcycle pants, close to your skin to provide warmth. It is a good idea to wear some type of base layer to keep the heated pants off of your skin.

Answer: 
Liners need to be near and snug to an undergarment (long underwear or other) this is the best placement to ensure heat transfer and safety from potential burns from heating elements. You don't want to have the heating elements next to bare skin, but need them under a protective gear layer.

The Tour Master Synergy 2.0 Heated Pants Liner provides heat throughout the entire liner system. That does include the seat.

you could try a seat heater or sheepskin cover. Generally, stiff foam seats and certain types of seat top covers run cooler than others.
